In 2020, Carp’R’Us and Nikl are again proud sponsors
of the large carp races organized by the IBCC on the mighty
lake Balaton. The lake itself is a monumental piece of nature
and it is no doubt that it will become an iconic lake within the
European, carp fishing scene.
Carp’R’Us is a British company founded in 1996 by Mr. Ray
Dale-Smith, a major innovator and legend in the field of
terminal tackle. Ray has always been a great innovator who
was not afraid to try new things and brought to market many
products that were revolutionary at that time but nowadays
are commonplace among all fishermen. To name some of
the products which Carp’R’Us brought to the market, we
can talk about fluorocarbon materials and lines, Snag Clip
system, Mouthsnagger line aligners, Longshank Nailer,
Centurion 2000 or Cranked Hook. In recent years, Carp’R’Us
is more focusing on the needs of continental fishermen and
is still coming up with new products. It is worth noting that
ATS hooks have been designed with regard to large lakes
and large carps. In short, ATS hooks present two words –
strength and reliability. The novelty for 2020 is primarily
the inclusion of new Ronnie rigs and the full range of their
production.
2020-ban a Carp’R’Us és Nikl újra az óriás pontyfogó
verseny, az IBCC büszke szponzorai között tudhatja magát. A
Balaton már magában egy monumentális természeti csoda,
és a jövőben egész biztos, hogy a pontyhorgászat ikonikus
helyszíne lesz Európában.
A Carp’R’Us egy brit vállalat, melyet 1996-ban alapítottak.
Az alapító Ray Dale elévülhetetlen érdemeket szerzett a
végszerelékek fejlesztésében. Ray egy igazi innovátor volt,
aki soha nem félt az új dolgok kipróbálásától, és rengeteg
új terméket hozott a piacra, melyek akkor forradalmi
újításnak számítottak, de ma már széles körben elterjedtek.
A fluocarbon anyagok és zsinórok, a Snag Clip rendszer,
a Mouthsnagger beforduló előkék, a Longshank Nailer, a
Centurion 2000 és a Cranked hook horgok csak néhány a
Carp’R’Us termékei közül. Az utóbbi években a Carp’R’Us az
európai horgászok igényeire koncentrált és új termékeket
kínál a horgászoknak. Érdemes megjegyezni, hogy az ATS
horgok kifejezetten a nagypontyok horgászatára lettek
kifejlesztve, nagy kiterjedésű vizeken. Ha röviden akarjuk
összefoglalni, az ATS horgok az erő és megbízhatóság
példaképei. A 2020-as év fő újdonsága az Ronnie rig
szerelékek gyártása.
The sector has been the place of memorable fish playing and serious contest. Tibor Tulipán’s 23.6 kg fish, caught in Révfülöp,
was the biggest one in 2015. This magnificent fish was caught in the last hour of the competition. The anglers landed it after the end
of the competition, but within the period of validity. Let’s not forget that the winning team of the first IBCC was from this sector, from
Ábrahámhegy. The Hungarian team which won the IBCC in 2017 was from this sector. Also, in 2019 Deepex Lithuania won the overall
competition with 629,81 kg. The team was fishing in Badacsonyörs. Of course, the whole Balaton is wonderful, but Badacsony and the
towns and villages in its surroundings are real gems of the region. The beauty of the area is also a characteristic of the sector. This is
where the border of the northern bank runs, which is important because from Keszthely, teams are allowed to place their rigs 550 m
from the shore.

Emlékezetes fárasztások és komoly diadalok helyszíne volt már ez a szektor. Tulipán Tibor Révfülöpön fogott 23.6 kg-os hala
volt 2015-ben a legnagyobb. Ezt a gyönyörű példányt az utolsó órában sikerült fogni, melyet a lefújást követően, még az érvényességi
határidőn belül sikerült is a szákba terelni. De ne felejtsük, hogy az első IBCC-t is ebből a szektorból, Ábrahámhegyen nyerték meg.
Badacsonylábdihegyről pedig 2017-ben diadalmaskodott szintén egy magyar csapat, 2019-ben pedig a Deepex Lithuania 629,81 kgmal
lett az abszolút első, az ezen a pályaszakaszon található Badacsonyörsön. Persze az egész Balaton csodálatos, de a Badacsony
és annak környékének települései igazi gyöngyszemei a teljes régiónak, ami a szektornak szintén nem elhanyagolható tulajdonsága. Az
északi part határa is itt húzódik, ami a megengedett legnagyobb behúzási távolság miatt fontos, hiszen Keszthelytől már 550 méterre
húzhatnak be a csapatok.
