Together for the 6th time
on the autumn Balaton!
Right after the jubilee V. IBCC, a lot of people were
eagerly awaiting the start of the next challenge and the
spring season on Lake Balaton with lots of giant carp.
Unfortunately, these dreams could not come true, as the
spread of coronavirus became a decisive factor of 2020. The
virus has fundamentally changed our everyday life. Under
these circumstances, it is considered a great achievement
that angling still played an important role in Hungary even
in this hard period full of challenges. What’s more, we
can safely say that the whole sector was
dynamically increasing in 2020 too.
Favorable legal and organizational
changes, such as the introduction
of the Hungarian fishing card and
simplified, electronic administration,
furthermore the whitening of the
system resulted in an increase in
the number of registered anglers.
Due to the angling exam which has
become free, but also the social and
leisure realignment in connection
with the pandemic – this number
has grown over 700.000 in Hungary,
and this figure means a 250.000
increase in 3.5 years.
The sector has received considerable
help related to the management of the human
and economic impacts of the pandemic during
the state of danger. Furthermore, thanks to the prompt
measures of the government, which were aimed at protecting
jobs, colleagues working in the angling administration field
can continue their work safely and continuously to achieve
common goals. As our greatest public task so far, through
the Service Center of National Angling Organizations, and
as a result of an intervention never seen before, 1200 tons
of carp were stocked into state waters. Thus, the anglers,
whose number was increasing by 5000 in this period, could
also benefit from this action. We sincerely hope that in 2021
the same number of foreign angler friends and angling
tourists can enjoy the richness of our waters as before the
pandemic.
It can be seen, and it’s good to see, that in Hungary there
is and there will be a public demand for supporting angling
and also there is government support for angling, leisure
time activities on the shore, and professional competitions.
Among the latter, IBCC is considered one of the internationally
acknowledged flagships.

most az őszi Balatonon!
Már közvetlen a jubileumi, V. IBCC lefújása után
sokan izgatottan várták a következő nagy megmérettetés
kezdetét, vele kapcsoltan a sok-sok nagy pontyot
eredményező tavaszi balatoni horgász szezont. Sajnos
az élet felülírta a várakozásokat, mert a 2020-as esztendő
nem várt, meghatározó tényezője lett a világban a
koronavírus terjedése, ami alapjaiban megváltoztatta a
mindennapjainkat. Ezen körülmények között nagy eredmény
volt, hogy Magyarországon még ezekben a nehéz és
kihívásokban bővelkedő időszakban is fontos szerep jutott a
horgászatnak, sőt mára már kijelenthetjük, hogy a teljes
szektor 2020-ban is dinamikusan tovább
növekedett.
A kedvező jogszabályi és
szervezeti változásoknak, köztük
adminisztratív oldalról a Magyar
Horgászkártya bevezetésének
s mellette az egyszerűsödő,
elektronizálódó ügyintézésnek,
továbbá a rendszer kifehérítésének
az együttes eredménye, hogy a
regisztrált horgászok száma –
köszönhetően a horgászvizsga
időközben ingyenessé vált
rendszerének, de a világjárvány
kapcsán beindult társadalmi
szintű szabadidő-eltöltési
átrendeződésnek is – mára
már 700.000 fő felé emelkedett,
emelkedhetett Magyarországon, s ez a
szám 3,5 év alatt több, mint 250.000 fős
növekményt jelent.
A világjárvány humán és gazdasági
hatásainak kezelése, a veszélyhelyzeti
időszakban történő működés menedzselése kapcsán
az ágazat nagyon sok segítséget kapott, s a gyors és
hatékony kormányzati intézkedéseknek köszönhetően
a több ezer veszélybe került munkahely megmentésével
a horgászszervezeti munkatársak biztonságban,
folyamatosan dolgozhattak, dolgozhatnak tovább a közös
célok elérése érdekében. Az eddigi legnagyobb közfeladatellátási
vizsgafeladatként az Országos Horgászszervezeti
Szolgáltató Központon keresztül sikeresen lebonyolított,
soha nem látott nagyságrendű intervenció eredményeként
pedig az állami tulajdonú vizekbe újabb 1200 tonna
fogható ponty került ki, s így az ebben az időszakban a
hetente 5000 fővel gyarapodó horgászok is nyertesei lettek
a gazdaságvédelmi intézkedéseknek. Őszintén bízunk
benne, hogy a nyertesek között 2021-ben már a külföldi
horgászbarátaink, a horgászturisták is a régen látott és újra
várt létszámban szerepelhetnek.
Jól látható és jó is látni, hogy Magyarországon van és
lesz is társadalmi igény, egyben kormányzati támogatás a
sporthorgászatra, a vizek partján történő kikapcsolódásra,
vagy éppen a valódi sportteljesítményt megkövetelő
versenyzésre is, melynek egyik nemzetközileg is elismert
„zászlóshajója” az IBCC.
All this, put together, is considered real country image.
Why? Because – and it’s always good to write this down –
the competition was conceived by anglers’ real needs. The
organizers and the water itself have proved the validity of
these needs. When it comes to water and boats, you should
all know that we, anglers are in the same boat together,
and therefore protecting our achievements is our common
goal. We are in the same team. The host of the competition,
Balaton Fish Management Zrt. has special legal status in The
National Federation of Hungarian Anglers and the company
organizing the event is the diamond sponsor and the most
important professional media partner of the federation. Our
wonderful venue, “the Hungarian Sea” is 60.000 hectares
big and its shoreline is 2020 km long. Lake Balaton with its
rapidly improving, indigenous fish stock is considered as a
national treasure and belongs to everyone.
Among the various forms of exploitation
and diverse interests, we would like angling
to have the attention it deserves. In
order to deserve this attention, it is
essential that we use the shore in a
responsible way, ensuring tidiness
and order and mutually respecting
each other and the fish. It is the
common responsibility of the
teams which were given the right
to take part in the competition to
show these values to the world,
both to anglers and non-anglers.
We would like to ask your help with
this mission.
The IBCC – the biggest carp
angling competition in the world –
is a strong brand today, and despite
the organizational difficulties we had to
face and the change of date, we hope that
the competition will spread the reputation of
Hungary, and within it Lake Balaton, embodying
real quality. We wish you good luck and wonderful
experiences – and let’s look after each other! We hope that
in Spring 2021, the VII. IBCC will be ours again, freely.

Ez így együtt valódi, hiteles országimázs. Miért is? Mert
– és ezt mindig jó leírni – a versenyt valódi horgászigények
hívták életre, s a szervezők és maga a víz is többszörösen
bizonyította ezen igények megalapozottságát. Ha már hajó a
hasonlat, akkor érdemes tudni, hogy azt is érdemes leszögezni,
hogy mi, a horgászok bizony egy hajóban evezünk, így közös
érdekünk az elért eredmények megvédése, a további fejlődés
biztosítása. Egy csapat vagyunk. A versenynek otthont
adó Balatoni Halgazdálkodási Nonprofit Zrt. a MOHOSZ
speciális jogállású tagja, a versenyt szervező cég pedig a
Horgászszövetség gyémánt fokozatú támogatója, egyben
a médiát érintően a legjelentősebb szakmai együttműködő
partnere is. Gyönyörű versenyhelyszínünk, a „Magyartenger”
60.000 hektár, s a partvonala 220 km. A Balaton,
benne a nemzeti kincsként elismert őshonos, látványosan
fejlődő halállomány valójában mindenkié. A számos
hasznosítási forma között, a szerteágazó
hasznosítói érdekek tengerében
szeretnénk, ha a jövőben is megkapná itt
azt a figyelmet a horgászat, melyet
meg- és kiérdemel. A kiérdemléshez
azonban elengedhetetlenül
szükséges a vízparti környezet
felelős használata, a tisztaság
és a rend biztosítása, egymás és
a halak kölcsönös tisztelete. Az
indulási jogot kapott csapatok
közös felelőssége ezen értékek
megmutatása a világnak,
horgásznak és nem horgásznak
egyaránt, mely küldetéshez
továbbra is kérjük mindenki
segítségét.
Az IBCC – a világ legnagyobb
pontyfogó versenye – mára erős brand,
s a kényszerű szervezési nehézségek,
időpont-áthelyezés ellenére is reményeink
szerint a valódi minőséget megtestesítve
viszi majd Magyarország, benne a Balaton és
a magyar vendéglátás jó hírét is szerte a világban.
Sok sikert, kitartást és szép élményeket kívánunk – s
vigyázzunk egymásra! Reméljük, hogy 2021. tavasza, a VII.
IBCC már újra szabadon lesz a miénk…
