Leadership Through Inclusion
and Cooperation
Inclusion of ALL is essential for the
future success of our city. Committee
appointments shall be open to all and not
just a select few. Open-mindedness and
the ability to compromise is essential in
successfully accomplishing goals.
Fiscal Responsibility
You deserve clear and concise monthly
updates presented at council meetings
focusing on any deviations affecting the
city’s financial stability. Curbing spending,
increasing grants, and long-range fiscal
planning are key to moving forward
prudently in this economic environment.
Project Timelines
Make a better effort to complete capital
improvement projects (such as the
Lafayette Street Park and Soldiers and
Sailors Park) on time and on budget.
Protecting and Strengthening
the City’s Historic Status
While change is inevitable, we need to
maintain focus on the core architectural
and design standards that have protected
Cape May’s National Historic Landmark
Status. All upcoming projects, public and
private, should be required to adhere to
these standards in order to maintain the
city’s Historical Designation and unique
character and charm.
Task Force for Pandemic
Economic Recovery
The city needs a vision and a formal
plan for moving forward in the current
pandemic environment. To aid recovery
for Restaurants, Shops and Tourist
Attractions, as well as Non-Profits such as
Cape May MAC, Cape May Stage and the
Nature Center, the city needs to help them
adapt to the new normal.
