Resources, eLearning and
eAssessment
Active IQ offers unrivalled learning resources and eLearning to assist its approved centres with qualification delivery.
Active IQ prides itself on providing the best eLearning, hard copy manuals, free electronic lecture packs and
electronic resources to support all qualifications.
The resources are mapped to nationally accredited qualifications and are written by industry experts with a reputation
for excellence. Each year, Active IQ strives to develop new products and resources to both meet customers’ needs
and exceed expectations.
Learner and tutor resources are provided in a number of different ways:
• Learner manuals – A large suite of learner manuals are available. These resources are produced to high
standards in terms of content and presentation. Manuals are thoughtfully designed to ensure that learners
engage effectively with their learning.
• Tutor resources – A comprehensive range of lecture packs has been developed for centres to assist their
tutors with the delivery of Active IQ qualifications. Each lecture pack is Ofsted compliant and includes a
scheme of work, session plans and PowerPoint slides.
• eLearning – Active IQ offers a comprehensive eLearning platform that gives learners the opportunity to study
remotely whilst allowing tutors to see at a glance how their studies are progressing. The platform is a highly
interactive learning tool and is designed to fully engage learners and enliven the learning process. In this way,
Active IQ hopes to fully support and nurture learners and the lifelong learning process. The eLearning platform
can also be branded to match a centre’s name and colours.
• eAssessment – Active IQ offers eAssessment through our partner supplier Cirrus Assessments for all external
assessments (theory exams) as well as a number of internal assessments. eAssessment offers a secure,
convenient and timely alternative to paper-based exams and internal assessments.
• Proctored assessments (remote invigilation) – Active IQ offers the facility to sit our external eAssessments
(theory exams) through remote proctoring, with our partner Proctor U. Remote proctoring is an alternative
to class-based invigilation of external assessments (theory exams) and allows learners to securely access
Active IQ’s exams in their own environment, while being invigilated remotely (an invigilator is ‘present’ via the
laptop/PC camera function). This alternative will suit those approved centres with learners or apprentices on
a flexible/blended learning pathway, plus those who may live long distances from the centre.
