and Sports Performance<br />
INTRODUCTION<br />
This qualification provides learners with the knowledge and skills to be able to plan and instruct sports conditioning programmes<br />
to improve exercise and sports performance.<br />
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS<br />
Learners must hold a Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing (or equivalent), a Level 2 Coaching qualification or a Level 2 Activity<br />
Leadership qualification.<br />
There is an element of communication (discussing, presenting, reading and writing) involved and learners should have basic skills<br />
in communication pitched at level 2.<br />
QUALIFICATION STRUCTURE<br />
The learner must complete:<br />
• Unit 1: Principles of sports conditioning (A/508/4368).<br />
• Unit 2 : Plan, deliver and evaluate sports conditioning programmes (F/508/4369).<br />
ASSESSMENT<br />
This qualification is assessed by:<br />
• Coursework.<br />
• Portfolio of evidence.<br />
• Practical demonstration/assignment.<br />
