Young Storykeeper Volume III

To celebrate Cruinniú na nÓg, Great Lighthouses of Ireland and Fighting Words invited 7-12 year-olds to become Young Storykeepers. Your lighthouse-inspired stories are incredible! Fighting Words and Great Lighthouses of Ireland have devoured every single one of the 1,256 stories, poems, illustrations, song lyrics and even stop-motion animations submitted for the Young Storykeepers initiative. With so many entries, these wonderful works will be showcased in a multi-volume Young Storykeepers digital magazine over the coming months.

THE BIG SPLASH<br />

“Help!” said Blob-2.<br />

Blob-1 is looking worried.<br />

It isn’t looking too good.<br />

Except what is that?<br />

Crayon fainted.<br />

Once there is a lighthouse. A pink crayon<br />

ran the lighthouse until…<br />

(have you spotted the boy in the top corner with a<br />

paint canon??!)<br />

Two of the creatures are blobs.<br />

This blob thought he was bringing the<br />

others to a safe place.<br />

Nope.<br />

Blob-1 has an idea. If he drew a lighthouse,<br />

got a 3D printer and printed out his picture, then<br />

the lighthouse would be fixed.<br />

The puffer fish got booed and rescued and THE<br />

END - except -<br />

He drew.<br />

He printed.<br />

He fixed.<br />

And he actually liked the 3-colour thing after all.<br />
