CITY FESTIVA
Noir’Wen is a unique destination, a
giant festival of art and shopping, where
the visitor gets lost between culture and
stores, between sacred and profane.
Less than 10 nautical
miles from Noir’York City,
Noir’Wen City was born
out of the forced exile
of two young people
at the end of the 18th
century whose families
had refused to marry
for obscure reasons of
social prudishness and
conflicts and who had
been expelled. They
had disembarked in a
makeshift boat on this
inhospitable and sparsely
inhabited small island
and they settled there.
They then founded a
family out of wedlock
and became the emblem
of one of the first “free
union” assumed and
claimed.
