Seven Springs Association Seven Springs Country Club was started by Edward Russell in 1910 - Russell<br />

was president. Bigelow Creek ran from springs in the area. A mill on Bigelow<br />

Creek in 1811. Ezra Hammond put the mill back in use in 1923 to saw lumber<br />

for the Club House. Russell and Clive Gillette of Byron spent the winter of<br />

1911 at the Springs clearing land at $2 a day. William Russell built a cabin<br />

called Red Raven in 1914. He entertained the Magician's Club in 1926. In 1910<br />

there were seven known springs in the area. Today there are about 100 springs
