We endeavour to absorb ourselves in the external
environment wherever possible, as the complexities of
our geography provide visual cues and drive us to explore
new ways in which we can design surfaces for the home
that embody these influences.
Whilst we turn to natural stones and the effects of time
and the elements on them, our search for inspiration takes
on broader influences. Whether it is the study of other
organic references found in nature, such as the form of a
branch or root structures in trees and plants, or the tides
of the sea that offer a contrast between calming laps on
the shoreline and the forceful waves of the open waters.
When designing a Caesarstone product, we explore
these wider references over a period of months and
years, combining features that we are drawn to and
working on the nuances of the design.
The result is a beautifully natural-looking product that
can’t actually be found in nature. Our aim is to give
homeowners something unique that can’t be found
anywhere else, whilst offering the practicality that is
required. It is this continuing dedication to innovation
that ensures every Caesarstone design is unique;
the product of a long creative journey that culminates
in a surface that acts as a foundation for us to create
engaging spaces in our own homes.
With a diverse set of influences that
inspire the designs and textures of
Caesarstone surfaces, choosing different
tones from thousands of options and
finding the perfect combinations to
create singular designs requires intense
exploration and considered analysis.
Our design processes evaluate countless
materials, and only the finest pigments
are chosen. We experiment with how
each tone reacts to light and shade, and
how they interact with the tactility and
finish of the stone itself until we are
completely satisfied with the final product.

Surface edges can be custom-designed by your stonemason to create a variety
of styles and thicknesses. Professional stonemasons will generally finish 20mm
bench top edges with a minimum 2mm profile. To protect and prolong the life
and performance of your Caesarstone quartz surface, we recommend a rounded
edge finish with the minimum radius of 3 – 4mm. The minimum radius for edge
profiles both reduces the risk of chipping and increases the safety of the surface
edges for your space. Getting the details right is critical to design success. This
diagram shows a number of different edge finishes to suit traditional and
contemporary kitchen styles.
