eonard Eugene "Lee" <strong>Perry</strong> was born in<br />
Florence County, June 5th,1937 to the late<br />
Oliver and Mamie Lee <strong>Perry</strong>, Sr. He<br />
departed this earthly life on Friday,<br />
September 18, 2020, at McLeod Regional<br />
Medical Center after battling years of illness.<br />
Lee, as he was affectionately called attended<br />
the public schools of Florence. He began<br />
his career as a "freelancer" by laying carpet.<br />
Later in his life, Lee retired from the Florence<br />
Morning News. Lee loved to dance and swing.<br />
His passion for dancing earned him many<br />
awards.<br />
Mr. <strong>Leonard</strong>'s legacy of love and zeal for life<br />
will live in the heats of remaining younger<br />
siblings Jacqueline (Amos) Wells of<br />
Anderson, SC, Velice <strong>Perry</strong> Alexander of<br />
Florence, SC, Oliver (Lavender) <strong>Perry</strong>, Jr.,<br />
of Darlington, SC, Bryan K. <strong>Perry</strong> of Florence,<br />
SC and a host of loving nieces, nephews, and<br />
numerous friends and neighbors.
