AND WE’RE BACK
RACING AGAIN!
After what seemed like an eternity we are back at it
again, but with strict Covid 19 restrictions.
The world has changed the
last few months but thanks
to the perseverance of the
FIM and in turn MSA, we
eventually got it right to be able
to return to circuit racing. Yes, no
spectators are allowed and that
make’s our days seem a little
dreary but it does not stop the action.
Sadly it would seem as if lots
of the racers are a little rusty as
we’ve had a lot of incidents on the
track with crashes and mistakes.
Luckily none of them too serious
and all will heal with a little time.
What is great about this year is
we have the guys from Steamit360
Live Streaming our events and
anybody anywhere in the world
can sit either on their phone, in
front of a computer or TV and
you can watch our series live or
recorded. It’s there all the time
on www.streamit360.tv, thanks to
RAD KTM and a few other sponsors
for making this possible.
Then if you live far away but
would still like to be able to be
more part of the action, we have
an active Facebook page Super-
Bike Mag Short Circuit Series
where you can go see all our photos
and comments of all involved.

I’ve always said that it is the
kids that feed our sport and
luckily with the backing of Linex
Yamaha and KTM SA we have
put three little “celebrity” bikes
on track for youngsters to get a
feel for it and have a go. This has
largely contributed to adding new
people so thank you guys, it’s
much appreciated.
Then in our big class, the 450
SuperMotards, we now have 5
classes for these guys with over
60 participants, our blue chip
class being SM1/X is seriously
something to behold. It’s our
country’s best riders all on equal
bikes, the top 12 qualifying within
a second of one another. The end
result is racing in it’s most spectacular
form. Two or three abreast
sliding into corners with the tyres
screeching and bikes roaring. I
had a few random people say that
it’s the most spectacular form of
racing available now, and being
totally un-biased, I have to agree.
Our next event is on the 19th of
September at V Town, let’s hope
the spectator restrictions gets lifted
and we can invite you guys to
come and watch again, but if not,

Dorren Loreiro is an absolute machine
sliding his Husqvarna FS450 into the
turns
Chris Wright, the rest are getting closer
but he still has the CBR 150 Championship
under control, the boy gives the rest a very
high bar to follow. They are a class act.
