The FIG approval process for new
members is thorough - we refuse
more applications than we accept.
Additionally, we are one of the few
global networks who actively monitor
members on an ongoing basis.
This process is the reason we have an
enviable reputation of practically no
‘bad debt’ in our 16 year history.
Most freight networks offer ‘insurance’ against non-payment in their networks
for which members pay an annual ‘premium’. We, at FIG HQ, take
the view that it is OUR JOB to select and monitor reputable and financially
sound companies - not to charge our members a premium for not doing
our job properly!
You will see on our website that each member is graded GOLD, SILVER,
BRONZE according to feedback, payment record and attendance at our
FIG Annual Conference. NB: Members can only achieve the GOLD Standard
by reaching required standards AND attending our annual conference.
The whole point of joining a reputable
network is to have peace of
mind when dealing with overseas
agents. It seems that FIG is the only
network which takes this point seriously.
Our members have consistently voted
against having a ‘payment protection
plan’ and many forwarders
outside our network prefer to deal
with FIG Partners as the ‘Gold Standard’

At FIG HQ we never stop striving to improve
our product offer. We are working towards
providing all available tools and resources
instantly and on any device. Our latest FIG
website is built as a PWA (progressive web
app) - looks like a website but behaves like a
native app (even when offline). This is just
one of many developments that keep FIG
Partners ahead of the game!

Not only do we take great care in selecting
our FIG Partners to ensure that we have a
great standard of service and financially
sound members… we also monitor all
members on an ongoing basis.
As an exclusive network (one
member per country) it is essential
that all members are active
and not just ‘buying business’.
Last year, we took the brave step
of removing a number of FIG
Partners who were not as active
as we would like and we are currently
re-building our membership
ahead of the launch of our
ground-breaking Interforwarder
platform.
Our plans to constantly improve our tools
and services depend on having active
members who understand that ‘together
we are stronger’…
FIG Membership represents probably the
best value of any freight network (and
there are many). We are not interested in
maximising profit margins - rather we want
to maximise the quality and service provided
from and to our members.
We plan to grow to 100 countries this year
and we are making great progress.
Towards the end of this year, we will
launch ‘Interforwarder’ a ground-breaking
platform for all shippers to find suitable
agents and instant rates for shipments.
This ‘volume-based’ platform is actually
designed to bring significant business opportunities
for our FIG Partners both internal
and external to the FIG Network.
