her hips, too. She looked down at her grandchildren
with her famous “evil eye” (as Christina and Grant
called it) which could always tell when kids were up
to something they shouldn’t be.
“Something’s up,” she stated. “And I plan
to get to the bottom of it! My grandkids not
wanting to ride a rollercoaster? Hmm…very
suspicious. Very suspicious, indeed.”
“Well, really,” began Grant, stirring his foot
in the sand, “I would sort of like to ride…”

Grant grabbed his ankle. Mimi grabbed Christina.
“In the car, now!” she said.
Christina sighed. It was going to be a very
long night, especially for Joe, in jail, and for her and
Grant, in trouble. What bad could happen next? She
was sure that she didn’t want to know.
