at Grant and Christina. “I’m also giving a tour to<br />
two VIP kids. Is it ok if we all go together?” The<br />
girl seemed very pressed for time. “The boy’s<br />
name is Alex; he’s one of the archaeologist’s kids.<br />
And the girl’s name is Courtney. She’s part Indian.<br />
They’re about your age.”<br />
Christina and Grant exchanged glances.<br />
“Sure!” they eagerly agreed. They’d much rather go<br />
on the VIP tour with a couple of other kids than with<br />
their grandparents, who were always asking boring<br />
questions with long answers.<br />
Amy looked relieved. “Then stay right here,”<br />
she said. “I’ll go and get them and be right back!”<br />
As Grant and Christina waited, they<br />
wandered around the museum and gift shop area.<br />
“Four hundred years ago is a long time,”<br />
Grant said.<br />
“It sure is,” Christina agreed. “Just think,<br />
back then there were castles and queens in<br />
England.” She pointed to a large portrait of Queen<br />
Elizabeth I on the wall. The woman wore an<br />
elaborate brocade dress with a butterfly-like collar<br />
rising up around her head and fancy hairdo.<br />
“And knights and pirates, too!” Grant added.<br />
He looked up at an exhibit about Spanish treasure<br />
ships. Both he and his sister admired the gold<br />
