“He had too much knowledge and too much access<br />
and too few scruples. I just found out this morning<br />
that Bill wanted my job. He was trying to set me up.<br />
Selling black market historical artifacts has<br />
tempted people way back to the pyramids in Ancient<br />
Egypt. Also, you can get a lot of money for artifacts<br />
from collectors who turn a blind eye to where the<br />
treasures come from. So, Bill was trying to get my<br />
job AND get a lot of money for the artifacts.”<br />
“But all that kind of stuff belongs to us, doesn’t<br />
it?” asked Christina. “I mean it’s our history.”<br />
“That’s the way I feel,” said Joe. “Finding all<br />
these skeletal remains is helping us complete the<br />
history of America’s birth 400 years ago. It’s like a<br />
big puzzle, and it doesn’t help if someone steals or<br />
destroys the pieces!”<br />
