Dear Reader,
It’s time to talk about the buzz word of the moment, no not COVID,
we’ve certainly had enough of that, but ‘staycations’! Who could have
foreseen that we’d all be frantically Googling for cottage rentals, hotel
offers and camping facilities in the UK? Well, 2020 is the year full of
surprises and I am firmly swapping my usual flight searches for a road
trip across England.
Fortunately, living in East Anglia makes it super easy to book a
staycation without the stress of travelling too far. We’re blessed
with wild coastlines, pretty villages dotted with cute cottages and
chic cities. In this issue you’ll find a guide to the best destinations
in the East complete with hotel and restaurant recommendations.
There’s also plenty of ideas for days out too; King’s Lynn,
Framlingham and Hitchin!
I am thrilled to see the return of outdoor events. Though plans may
change, there’s some exciting things to look forward to such as
drive-in cinema experiences, pumpkin patches and exhibitions.
Remember to check in advance if you plan on visiting and to social
distance at all times.
There’s been a few changes at eastlife during lockdown. We have a
new publisher, new team members and a fantastic newly designed
website! I hope you enjoy!
