‘The City of Stories’ film launches

campaign to bring residents safely back

into Norwich

Norwich Business Improvement District (BID) and VisitNorwich

have launched a new film, headlining a campaign aimed at

Norfolk residents. The ‘Norwich, the Next Chapter’ campaign

aims to inspire confidence in city users, encouraging them to

safely return back to Norwich. The film focuses on the human

moments we’ve missed, showing people that life is in the city

again, that safety measures are in place and it’s still an exciting

place to visit.

Taking cues from the city’s brand: ‘Norwich, The City of Stories’,

‘Norwich, The Next Chapter’ is a hopeful and positive campaign.

An invitation to come back to Norwich and support local

businesses.

The campaign launches with a one-minute film featuring on

visitnorwich.co.uk, social media and YouTube. The film is

uplifting and emotive, with the city’s residents and businesses

as the star. Importantly, it acknowledges the changes we are all

making coming out of lockdown, but tells the story of the little,

everyday moments that make life in the city special.

An Enchanted Journey at Thursford

Due to COVID-19, the popular Thursford Christmas Spectacular

has been postponed until 2021, however, ‘Thursford’s

Enchanted Journey of Light’ will take its place from 19

November until 3 January.

Visitors can enjoy a magical walk-through experience for all

ages. An all-new indoor Wonderland Trail; a maze of steam

engines, fairy-tale characters and an immersive experience

of light and sound including one of the UK’s biggest kinetic

light displays, will lead to a 4-acre Lantern Light Extravaganza;

a beautiful, breath-taking outdoor installation of luminous

sculptures, from a fantasy forest of jungle animals to the wilds of

the North Pole.

This is the first time the Thursford Christmas Spectacular has

been cancelled since it began in 1977.

Tickets for ‘Thursford’s Enchanted Journey of Light’ will be £15

each (free for under 3 years), with time slots allocated from 3pm

daily via the Thursford box office www.thursford.com
