Only a few people consider themselves independent design curators or creative directors in Australia . That means often those people getting jobs results in a feeling of ‘ your success is my loss ’ . Generally , I am more generous and see the success of others in my field as ultimately broadening the market for everyone . My most creative state does not manifest in a creative context . My creativity piques when I am emotionally neutral and intellectually open – curiosity is fed by calm research . The creative response is best when it has shrugged off any fear of judgment . Competiveness hinders all of that. Friendly competition or emotionally open and intellectually neutral .
