... the birth of the company: As 12 year old child Anton Reck was lying in bed for one
year due to a strong Angina which affected his heart. This illness accompanied him all his
life, weakend him physically, strengthened however his spirit and will. It was clear soon
that he could not bear a normal everyday work life. He thought »one way or the other I
need to go into business for myself so that I can at least lay down a quarter of an hour a
day«. So the self-employment was a decision to make the best of it, not to seek profit.

... the birth of the mixer: 1969 a farmer approached Anton Reck:
»Now they even start up there walking on the moon and down here
we do not even get the slurry out of the slurry pit«. Yet in the same
year the first Reck slurry mixers were in use.
... the birth of the medical technology: The health situation of Anton Reck was alarming:
The doctors gave him only one month more to live due to his heart problem. Unless he did
intensively healthy sport. He didn’t wait to be told that twice and started to develop the
»KurzzeitTrainer (KT)/Short-timeTrainer«: Cycling without a saddle. The product did not
only become very important for our boss. It was sold 70,000 times in 40 countries on
earth. Continuing further developments lead to today’s »MOTOmed«. And even today Anton
Reck is receiving an increased quality of life through daily, healthy »MOTOmed Training«.
