Maintenance Instructions Cowhides
Regular Care
Cowhides don’t have to be combed. Use a vacuum cleaner on the lowest power
or a broom, both in the direcon of the hair. Avoid pung pressure on the skin.
This will prevent hair loss.
Remove Dirt & Stains
Dab as soon as possible with a clean damp cloth, do not put hard pressure. Dried
dirt is best removed by brushing the hair with a slightly damp cloth. To remove
stubborn stains, you can use a lile natural detergent like green soap. Always be
careful not to wet the leather side of the cowhide, to prevent it from geng sff.
In case the leather did get wet, never dry in direct heat such as sunlight.
Dehydration
To prevent dehydraon and hair loss, once in a while slightly sprinkle the hair
with a mist spray of a water sprayer. In case of underfloor heang, moisturise the
skin more oen.
Imprints
Place a bag of ice cubes on the imprint. Aer the ice cubes have melted, brush
with a so brush in the direcon of the hair. Another possibility is to use a damp
cloth and rub it several mes in the direcon of the hair.
