Technikon. He holds a B. Tech. Degree in Information Technology at the Cape<br />

Technikon.<br />

Shaun Pather has over ten years of experience in IT training and education.<br />

Currently he is a Senior Lecturer in Information Systems, at the Cape Technikon.<br />

His teaching interests include Systems Analysis and Design, and Strategic<br />

Management Information Systems. He has been involved in various graduate and<br />

post-graduate IS programs for a variety of institutes, as well as executive<br />

management training. He has experience with consulting with various SMEs and<br />

IT training companies. His research interest is in the field of e-commerce evaluation.<br />

Paul A. Pavlou is a Ph.D. Candidate of Information Systems at the Marshall<br />

School of Business in the University of Southern California (USC). He holds a<br />

master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from USC, and a bachelor’s degree in<br />

Managerial Studies and Electrical Engineering from Rice University (magna cum<br />

laude). His current research interests are mostly in the area of electronic commerce,<br />

dealing with interorganizational and consumer relationships, the role of trust and<br />

marketing communications. Mr. Pavlou is the author of several papers that<br />

appeared as journal articles, book chapters and conference proceedings.<br />

Sushil K. Sharma is currently Assistant Professor of Information Systems at the<br />

Ball State University, Muncie, Indiana. He received his Ph.D. in Information<br />

Systems from Pune University, India and taught at the Indian Institute of Management,<br />

Lucknow for eleven years before joining Ball State University. Prior to joining Ball<br />

State, Dr. Sharma held the position of Visiting Research Associate Professor at the<br />

Department of Management Science, University of Waterloo, Canada. Dr.<br />

Sharma’s primary teaching interests are e-commerce, computer communication<br />

<strong>net</strong>works, database management systems, management information systems, and<br />

information systems analysis and design. He has extensive experience in providing<br />

consulting services to several government and private organizations, including<br />

World Bank funded projects in the areas of information systems, e-commerce, and<br />

knowledge management. Dr. Sharma is the author of two <strong>books</strong> and has numerous<br />

articles in national and international journals. His current research interests include<br />

database management systems, <strong>net</strong>working environments, electronic commerce<br />

(e-commerce), knowledge management, and corporate information systems.<br />

Shawren Singh is a lecturer at the University of South Africa (Unisa) in the<br />

Department of Computer Science and Information Systems. He is actively involved<br />
