Jessica Walsh.Currently, Jessica Walsh is partner with Stefan Sagmesiter working as Sagmesiter& Walsh. When comparing their two styles, it is important to acknowledgetheir great feats together but also the differences that they both bring tothe table. Walsh’s strong typography mirrors that of Sagmeister’s and createsbeautiful dynamic pieces. However, the inspiration I draw from Walsh thatis not as present in Sagmeister’s work is the use of color. Her application ofcolor to the human body as well as bold color blocks in graphics creates an eyecatching compositions and builds the environment around her pieces.
David Carson. As a typographer, David Carson broke allthe rules but it worked. He has a toolboxof manipulation that he uses to create bothlegible and illegible works that confuse andexcite the viewer. Carson’s ability to experimentwith digital type showed me all thepossibilities of evoking specific emotionsthrough seemingly chaotic typography.7inspir a tions.
