Notice is hereby given that Council of the London<br />

Borough of <strong>Barking</strong> and <strong>Dagenham</strong> in exercise of<br />

its powers under Sections 6, 124 and Parts I to IV of<br />

Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984<br />

as amended (hereinafter called “the Act”) and all other<br />

enabling legislation and powers and after consultation<br />

with the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis in<br />

accordance with Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Act propose<br />

to make the above order.<br />

The effect of the order will be to: -<br />

(i) Introduce a loading bay - Monday to Saturday<br />

8.00am to 6.30pm in Faircross Parade.<br />

Copies of the draft orders together with plans of the areas<br />

and statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing<br />

William Street, starting 38 meters west from its junction<br />

NoTIcE oF INTENT<br />

NoTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in order to facilitate<br />

the safe undertaking of <strong>Dagenham</strong> medium pressure main<br />

replacement works, the London Borough of <strong>Barking</strong> and<br />

<strong>Dagenham</strong> intends to make an Order under Section 14(1)<br />

of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.<br />

1. The effect of the order will be to prohibit all<br />

vehicular traffic from proceeding in an eastbound<br />

direction on Ripple Road between its junctions with<br />

Merrielands Crescent and Heathway during the hours<br />

of 8.00pm – 6.00am.<br />

The restrictions will apply only during such times<br />

and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic<br />

signs complying with Chapter 8 of the Traffic Signs<br />

Regulations and General Directions 2002.<br />

2. At such times as the prohibition is in force,<br />

alternative routes will be indicated by traffic signs.<br />

Traffic travelling eastbound on Ripple Road will be<br />

diverted via Merrielands Crescent.<br />

3. The prohibitions will not apply in respect of:<br />

a. any vehicle being used for the purposes of those<br />

works or for fire brigade, ambulance or police<br />

purposes;<br />

b. anything done with the permission or at the<br />

direction of a police constable in uniform or a<br />

Police Community Support Officer.<br />

4. The order will come into effect on Monday 5th<br />

November 2012 for a period of 3 nights or until<br />

the said works are complete, whichever is the<br />

earlier.<br />
