2-year-old cow sired by Codiak Putnam GNK

61Y. She went to Wrangler Farms, Westlock,

Alta. at a final bid of $13,500. The highselling

yearling heifer was Codiak Another

Please GNK 801F, selected by Knott Family

Farm, Ardrossan, Alta. for $12,500. Two

heifer calves commanded a price of $4,500;

Colgan’s Giddy Up Girl 08G was purchased

by Trestle Creek Cattle Company, Stratford,

Ont., and Colgan’s Girl Wonder 13G sold to

Codiak Acres, Ardrossan, Alta. Two packages

of semen from Wattle Grove Smoke and

Mirrors L275 sold for $650/straw to Outback

Stock Farm, Sturgeon County, Alta., and Pick-

It Livestock, Chipman, Alta. The high-selling

embryos were from the mating of Premier

101Y Logic L11 and Tumbleweed Acres

Daisy 10X, purchased by Black Diamond

Speckle Park, Victoria, for $2,300/embryo.

reduction sale, offering a select group of

registered and commercial females, as well as

herd bulls. River Hill Debate-A-Bull 225D

topped the bull selection, going to Todd and

Josh Konecny, Walkerton, Ont., for $5,000.

INC Cattle Co. of Saskatoon, Sask., selected

the top female, Second Chance Xena 3X, for

a final bid of $4,000.

Australia’s top-selling bull in 2019 sold

through JAD Speckle Park’s inaugural sale.

JAD Napoleon N31, a son of River Hill 60W

Line Drive 54Z, went for AUD$24,000 to

Fish Creek Farm Speckle Park and Merom

Speckle Parks, both of Victoria, with New

Zealand semen rights to Maungahina Stud

and Premier Cattle Company. The highselling

heifer was JAD 54Z Belinda N68,

in calf to Minnamurra Marlin M4, who

sold to JJ & VA Argent of Tasmania, for

AUD$17,000.
