Insula grecească Chios, al cărui nume îl purtăm și noi, este situată în

Marea Egee, la numai 7 km distanță de coasta Turciei, fiind supranumită

„Insula Parfumurilor”, datorită florilor cu o bogată paletă coloristică, care cresc

pretutindeni pe teritoriul său. O altă particularitate a insulei constă în faptul

că aici se găsește arborele de mastic, a cărei rășină opacă are proprietăți

curative și crește numai aici, respectiv în zona „Satelor de mastic”. Caracterul

unic al zonei este conturat și de celebra legendă, care ne spune că insula

Chios este locul nașterii vinului negru, un vin cu arome intense și cu un

caracter puternic. Astfel, aici au fost puse și bazele procesului de vinificație

de către însuși regele insulei, Enopion, fiul Ariadnei și al zeului Dionisos.

Chiar și numele regelui se traduce din greaca veche ca “băutor de vin” sau

“cu chip de vin”. Nu întâmplător legenda dăinuie și astăzi în restaurantul

nostru, prin suita de vinuri atent selectate, pe care te invităm să o descoperi,

iar mai apoi să te lași cucerit de ea!

The greek island of Chios, whose name we also carry, is located in the

Aegean Sea, only 7 kilometres away from Turkey’s coast, being dubbed

“The Island of Perfumes”, due to its colored flowers that grow everywhere

on its lands. Another particularity of the island is that here you can find the

mastic tree, whose opaque resin has curative qualities and grows only here,

in an area known as “The Mastic Villages”. The uniqueness of the area is

also given by a famous legend, which says Chios island is the place where

black wine was born, a wine with an intense flavour and a strong character.

Also, this was the place where the process of making wine was first

shaped by the king of the island, Oenopion, son of Ariadna and god

Dionysos. Even the king’s name, Oenopion, translates from ancient Greek

as “wine drinker”. It is not by chance that even today the legend still lives in

our restaurant through our selection of fine wines, which are waiting to be

discovered and to make you fall for them!

The House White Wine - golden-yellow coloured, displaying a complex bouquet with elderflower and

honey notes. The taste is fresh with notes of citrus fruits, and the aftertaste is persistent with a vegetal

tinge to it.

Sole Chardonnay

Galben auriu, vagi reflexe verzui, limpiditate bună. Arome florale (romaniță), de fructe (caise, piersici

aciditate bună, mineralitate accentuată, pe fundal de miere, final cu gust plăcut de pomelo, cu postgust

Golden yellow with green reflections and good clarity. Floral (wild chamomile) and fruity (apricots, white

peaches, lychees) aromas, underpinned by light touches of hazelnut tree and vanilla. A full-bodied wine

with intense aromas, balanced acidity and strong minerality. The finish exhibits a delightful pomelo taste,

with an exceptional aftertaste.

Liliac Young Fruity

Culoarea galben pai indică un vin tânăr. Aromele intense fructate, cu note de piersică și trandafiri te

surprind la miros. Pe cerul gurii aciditatea bine definită se combină perfect cu corpul rotund, desăvârșit

de postgustul fructat. Este un vin proaspăt recomandat cu preparate din carne gătite în stil clasic sau

asiatic, cu salate ușoare sau paste cu sos alb.

The straw colour indicates a young wine. Its strong fruity nose, with peach and rose notes, will take you

by surprise. On the palate, the well-defined acidity combines perfectly with its full body, completed by a

fruity aftertaste. It is a fresh wine, best to be served with meat dishes cooked traditionally or Asian style,

with light salads or white sauce pasta.

Crama La Salina Issa Chardonnay

Chardonnay-ul, vinificat în stil clasic, prezintă o excelentă tipicitate de soi, cu o culoare galben-verzuie

strălucitoare și cu arome dominante de fructe albe (pară, măr) continuată prin note intense, plăcute, de

citrice și altele, mai temperate, minerale. Gustul este rotund și echilibrat, cu o tentă fină de unt topit și

cu o bună aciditate. Finalul este plăcut, ușor condimentat.

Classically wined Chardonnay, has an excellent variety tipicallity, with a bright yelow-green color and

dominant white fruit flavor (pear, apple) followed with intense, pleasant notes, by citrus and other tamed

minerals. The taste is full and balanced, with a fine hint of melted butter and good acidity. The end is

pleasant, slightly spicy.

Corcova Sauvignon Blanc

Mustul a fost obținut prin presarea directă a boabelor de struguri din soiul Sauvignon Blanc, apoi a urmat

fermentarea și maturarea pe drojdii, timp de 4 luni, în cisternă de inox, la temperatură controlată. Vinul

prezintă arome proaspete și intense de citrice, fructe exotice și fân proaspăt cosit.

The must was obtained through direct pressing of Sauvignon Blanc grapes, followed by fermentation and

maturation on yeasts for 4 months, in stainless steel tanks, at controlled temperature. The wine displays

fresh and bold flavours of citrus fruits, exotic fruits and freshly mowed hay.

Crama La Salina Issa Sauvignon Blanc

Sauvignon-ul Blanc, vinificat în stilul Lumii Noi, aduce în pahar o plăcută vioiciune. Cu o culoare plăcută,

galben pal, strălucitoare, dezvăluie arome proaspete, dominate de citrice și flori de soc, continuate de

note de ardei gras. Gustul surprinde plăcut printr-o bună aciditate, aflată în perfect echilibru cu alcoolul.

Structura de ansamblu este armonioasă, fiind completată de notele ușoare de mineralitate, cu tentă vagă

de dulce (deși e sec), prezente în postgustul mediu spre lung.

Sauvignon Blanc, vinified in the New World style, brings a pleasant liveliness in the glass. With a pleasant

color, pale yellow, bright, reveals fresh flavors, dominated by citrus and elderflowers, followed by hints

of capsicum. The taste surprises pleasantly with a good acidity, in perfect balance with the alcohol.

The overall structure is harmonious, completed by slight notes of mineralia, with a vague hint of sweet

(although dry), found in the medium-long aftertaste.

Made from the traditional romanian grapes of the Dealu Mare – Săhăteni region, Aurelia Vișinescu’s

Tămâioasă Românească is an intensly flavoured wine with a rich scent of roses, melon and basil. The taste

culminates with an explosion of flavors, mainly red grapefruit and peach, perfectly complemented by

its lively acidity.

citrice, unt și migdale, armonios îmbinate, îi conferă un grad de complexitate ridicat. Finalul este plăcut,

ușor condimentat, ceea ce îl face să se preteze unor asocieri gastronomice îndrăznețe. Temperatura

optimă de servire se situează în jurul valorii de 12-14°C.

Pale yellow-coloured with silver reflections, Chardonnay Dealul Racoveanu is a wine with a strong

character, a perfect match for appetizers, fish or poultry-based dishes. The harmoniously blended citrus

fruits, butter and almond hints confer this wine a high level of complexity. The finish is pleasant, slightly

spicy, which makes it an ideal pair for daring gastronomic choices. The best serving temperature ranges

Davino Domain Ceptura Blanc

Se produce prin culesul selectiv al strugurilor din cele mai bune parcele, urmată de selecție finală la

banda de sortare, în cramă. Cupajul este rezultatul selecției celor mai valoroase loturi, procentele de

participare ale fiecărui soi stabilindu-se după una-două luni de tatonare prin micro probe. Asamblajul

din 2014 beneficiază de 10%. Sauvignon Blanc maturat în vase mari de lemn de 600 litri și 15%. Riesling

Italico fermentat și maturat în vas mare de lemn de zece Hl.

It is the product of a selective grape harvesting process from the best parcels, followed by the final

selection on the conveyor belt, in the wine cellar. The blend reflects the selection of the most valuable

batches; the ratio of each variety is determined after one or two months of trials. The 2014 assemblage

benefits from 10% Sauvignon Blanc aged in 600 liter large wooden barrels and 15% Riesling Italico

fermented and aged in 10 Hl large wooden barrels.

Complicat până la atipic, stratificat, este de studiat în egală măsură pe cât este de consumat. În liniște,

eventual. Cu trup solid, de la Chardonnay, arome discrete din Sauvignon Blanc, plin de viaţă (de la

Riesling) și cu un balans fin între aciditate, alcool și “trup”, reglat de Pinot Gris, Rusalca este un vin care

poate fi înţeles de fiecare după culoarea și căldura momentului în care se înfăţișează. E de vorbit și

povestit sau este de tăcut și privit – după cum îi șade mai bine celui căruia i se toarnă.

Complicated to the point of atypical, stratified, to be studied as well as consumed. Quietly, perhaps.

Full-bodied, from the Chardonay, discreet flavors from the Sauvignon Blanc, lively (the Riesling) and

finely balanced between acidity, alcohol and ‘body’, tuned by the Pinot Gris, Rusalca is a wine that can

be understood by each and everyone by the color and warmth of the moment it reaveals its self. To be

talked or sat quiet about, as befits the drinker.

Issa Rosé

Pinot Noir rosé, vinificat în stil clasic, este o plăcută surpriză, mai ales că soiul este unul foarte pretențios

și dificil. Prezintă o culoare plăcută, roz-somon strălucitor. Aromele tipice soiului se transformă prin

vinificarea în rosé, în note de trandafiri, căpșună și pepene roșu. Gustul este sprințar, cu o bună aciditate,

dar suficient de corpolent, cu un final plăcut susținut în postgust.

Pinot Noir rosé, clasically vinified, is a pleasant surprise, especially for a very pretentious and difficult

variety. Has a pleasant bright salmon-pink color. The flavors of the variety transform after the rosé

vinification, in hints of roses, strawberry and watermellon. The taste is cheerfull, with good acidity, but

robust enough and a pleasant end sustained in the aftertaste.

Corcova Cuvée Bohème

Un vin fin cu note condimentate, arome de coajă de copac și piele de animal, fructe alcoolizate. Merită să

fie decantat timp de o jumătate de oră. În gură atacul este suplu, taninii sunt fini, iar finalul este mentolat.

Părinții genetici ai acestui soi – Negru Vârtos din Sudul României și Saperavi din Georgia – leagă două din

cele mai vechi regiuni viticole din Europa cu un soi unic, născut în podgoria Drăgășani. Pretențios la lucrările

în vie la fel ca la vinificație, rezultă din acești struguri un vin care nu se subordonează “mainstream”-ului

vinurilor din toată lumea – nu este un concentrat tare și insistent, ci un vin elegant cu note fine, cu multă

adâncime și complexitate. Învechit minim un an în butoaie de 400 de litri, dar fără utilizarea butoaielor noi,

structura taninurilor rămâne discret în spate și lasă aromele multiple ale soiului să joace în gură. Aciditatea

proaspătă dă vinului un potențial ridicat de învechire, pentru a impresiona atunci cu nuanțe calde și rotunde

de maturitate.

The genetic parents of this variety - the Southern Romanian Negru Vârtos and the Georgian Saperavi

- connect two of the oldest wine-growing areas in Europe with a unique variety, born in the Drăgășani

vineyard. High-demanding both when it comes to vineyard labour and wine-making, these grapes

produce a wine which manages to escape the mainstream of worldwide wines - it is not a loud and

noisy concentrate, but a deep, complex and elegant wine with subtle notes. Aged minimally one year,

exclusively in 400 liter old barrels, the tannin structure remains discretely in the back to showcase the

cheerful dance of the multiple aromas. The fresh acidity confers this wine great aging potential, to

impress when opened with its warm and round touches of maturity.

puternic dar rotund, cu un postgust remanent și condimentat, ce pune în evidență taninurile fine și

elaborate. Davino Rouge se produce numai în anii favorabili. Cele trei soiuri care intră în sortiment sunt

vinificate separat. Strugurii sunt selectați pe banda de triere, flux menajat de prelucrare. Învechire în

sticlă minim 12 luni.

Davino Rouge is a wine with intense, complex and persistent nose, reminiscent of black cherries and dry

plums, spices (green pepper), oak wood, coffee. Its taste is complex and expressive, deep and strong, but

round at the same time, with a persistent and spicy aftertaste which highlights the fine and elaborate

tannins. Davino Rouge is produced only in auspicious years. The three grape varieties which make this wine

are vinified individually. The grapes are selected on the conveyor belt, through a mild processing flow.
