We produce our XPE foam overlays and underlays for a range of different fields of use. From frost protection
right through to parquet underlays – we always have just the right solution in our product range.

The Geficell® Concrete Overlays protect the newly
poured concrete from frost. In order to avoid
any damage, our concrete overlays are placed
immediately on the freshly laid concrete layer and
kept there if possible throughout the entire
hardening process.
Geficell® PE TDZ - 6.0 -1.0 acts as footfall sound
insulation. In order to avoid footfall noise, it is
important that the floating floor screed does not
come into direct contact with the adjoining structural
elements.
Gefinex® parquet and laminate sheet
underlays protect the floor covering from damage
caused by unevenness and moisture. They also have
sound-insulating properties.
Geficell® Basic PE foam insulating underlays have
already proven themselves some 100,000 times over
and serve above all as a method of levelling out uneven
substrates.

Certifications & Standards
Gefinex® quality management is dedicated to a constant monitoring of the raw materials and guarantees the high
quality of products. Moreover, the products have also been tested for VOCs (volatile organic compounds that can be
harmful to human health) and classified as harmless. These products also hold fire inspection certificates. They have
been classified as fire class B2 as per DIN 4102-1. The product Geficell® TDZ 6.0 Footfall Sound Insulation has a
general building inspectorate approval („abZ“) Z-23.21-1234 from the German Institute for Structural Engineering.

PE Concrete Overlay
Walking over floors or pushing chairs, for example, results in
noise that is carried as structure-borne vibrations in adjoining
structural elements and perceived acoustically as airborne
sound in neighbouring rooms. Geficell® PE TDZ- 6.0 -1.0
Footfall Sound Insulation, made from closed-cell PE foam,
achieves an improvement in footfall sound of up to 19 dB.
Please take the general building inspectorate approval and
laying guidelines into consideration during planning and
installation.
Areas of Use
As footfall sound insulation in housing construction under floating
floor screed in accordance with DIN 18560 Part 2.
Properties
• Improvement in footfall sound of 19 dB
• Can be used for traffic loads of up to 2 kN/m2
• Compressibility = 1 mm
• General building inspectorate approval (‚abZ‘)
• Fire performance in accordance with DIN 4102 -1 = B2
The Geficell® PE Concrete Overlay protects newly laid
concrete from frost and reduces the risk of cracks forming
as a result of temperature variations and the drying process
being too fast. The overlay is impermeable to water and does
not have to be covered with an additional layer to protect
it against moisture penetration. Furthermore, the overlay is
tearproof and resistant to most leaches, acids and oils. The PE
Concrete Overlays can either be glued to one another or
welded using hot air. They should be stored in a dry place
away from direct sunlight.

PE Basic Foam Insulation overlay

PE Parquet underlay
The Geficell® PE Basic Foam Insulation Overlay has proven
itself some 100,000 times over as a levelling layer for uneven
surface areas on solid mineral substrates. It is classified as fire
class B2 in accordance with DIN 4102.

For the levelling out of unevenness on solid mineral substrates.

The Geficell® PE Parquet Underlay is the classic sheet underlay
made from PE foam with a density of approx. 18 kg/m3. It is
classified as fire class B2, is VOC certified and 100%
recyclable.

PE Parquet underlay
Comfort 120
Gefinex®
Parquet and laminate sheet underlays
fulfill important functions in the laying of parquet and
laminate floors. They protect the flooring from damage
caused by unevenness and moisture. They also have
sound-insulating properties.
All sheet underlays are categorised into the building
material class B2 in accordance with DIN 4102
and are suitable for underfloor heating.
Parquet and laminate sheet underlays do not require
softening agents or other additives. They can also
be used in interiors without any risks.
Geficell® PE Comfort 120 is the sheet underlay for higher
demands with a density of approx. 120 kg/m3. It is highly
elastic and impresses with its high degree of permanent
pressure resistance. In comparison with the Geficell® PE Parquet
Underlay, Geficell® Comfort 120 produces a significant
enhancement in footfall and walking sound insulation
performance.

Underneath floating laminate and parquet floors.

Gefitas®
PE Parquet Underlay
Comfort 2/200
Gefitas® PE Parquet Underlay Standard 2/250 is made of
elastic 2 mm PE foam (foam density approx. 25 kg), covered
with a 250 µm PE laminate layer. This allows you to protect the
laminate or parquet floor from moisture from the floor screed.
The underlay features a self-adhesive 100 mm wide overlap,
ensuring that double layering is avoided during instalment.
Gefitas® PE Parquet Underlay Comfort 2/200 is made of
elastic 2 mm PE heavy foam, covered with a 200 µm PE
laminate layer. This allows you to protect the laminate or
parquet floor from moisture from the floor screed.
The underlay features a self-adhesive overlap, ensuring
that double layering is avoided during instalment.
Areas of Use
Sheet underlay and moisture barrier in one. For underneath floating laminate and parquet floors.

products in my role as Export Manager at Gefinex. Regional differences, the varying
mindsets and business practices of individual nations, and the varied demands on modern
products are what pose a particular challenge in my daily work.
In order to realise a high level of customer satisfaction both in terms of support and above
all in terms of specific product requirements, a close and open dialogue with all departments
across the company is absolutely crucial in my view. All issues are discussed in these exchanges
that are important to our customers and their success in their respective markets. The
focus here is on innovation and sustainability, efficiency and the environment in particular –
with a view to being able to offer individual solutions at all times. Individuality is the most important factor I have to consider
when building up long-term business relations. This is reflected in specific customer requirements such as certain product
properties, Areas of Use and individual and societal needs.
In order to find the right solutions for each of these requirements, we focus on having a strong team that is in a position to
live up to ecological and economical demands, as well as provide innovation, and to implement these in the form of new
and changed products. Implementing our products into the customers’ systems requires a high degree of innovation and
constant product management, in close collaboration with research and development. In this respect I can rely on the internal
departments at Gefinex, which make sure our products are designed as diversely as our diverse customer base. The number
