AT INNOTRANS
Every two years, the rail world converges on
a fair in Berlin. At the most recent fair, from 21
to 24 September 2010, the fl eet operators
and managers present fl ocked to the Alstom stand
and crowded round the key products of the market’s
most complete range in the fi elds of high and
very high speed.
Innotrans, the world’s largest rail fair,
was the occasion for Alstom to show
the 106,000 visitors the extent of its offer
in high and very high-speed trains,
from the Pendolino to the AGV or Speedelia.
A model of this new Alstom non-articulated
very high-speed platform, designed
to run at a commercial speed of 360 km/h
and with capacity for 600 seated passengers,
was exhibited on the Alstom stand.
Outside, a Pendolino trainsets attracted
a continuous fl ow of visitors, particularly
interested by the demonstration of Tiltronix,
the train’s active tilting system. Near by,
Alstom experts presented to journalists,
rail operators and fl eet managers a prototype
of Prima II, the most recent of the Alstom
locomotives, able to reach 140 km/h
in its freight version and 200 km/h
in the passenger version.
