FRANKENSTEIN
Interview: Ronnie Ingrassia
Car: 1994 Ford Bronco XLT
Models: Kylee Janay, Allie Montana, Adrianne Banda
Truck Name: “Frankenstein”
This photoshoot was also done down in the West Bottoms at the same location of the
2017 Corvette but was done on the other side of the building. It was the perfect spot because
of the colors on the building and the pile of dirt that was next to the building. The
West Bottoms has so many designs of graffiti all around the area of the bottoms.
Ronnie Ingrassia is the proud owner of this gorgeous 1994 Ford Bronco. He had been
looking online for about 5 months for a specific look of the Bronco and for it to be in certain
shape before he was to purchase one. Ronnie found it online at a dealership in Oregon.
The dealership showed him pictures of the Bronco and he bought it sight unseen .
He had it shipped to him once all the paperwork was completed on it. The first thing that
Ronnie did to the Bronco, he put a new motor in it. The motor that was in the Bronco had
220 thousand miles on it. Just about everything on the Bronco has been done to factory
specifications, he put the 5.8 ltr 351 Cleveland big block back in it. The dashboard and
the door panels are factory. Ronnie told me the reasoning of the name “Frankenstein”!
When he purchased the Bronco there wasn’t any interior at all, it had been completed
gutted other then the dash and door panels. He definitely had to go on a mission of replacing
the interior to it’s original specs. Ronnie did all of the interior work himself. He
put new vinyl on the front seats and found some rear seats, did those to match, carpeted,
cleaned up dash and door panels, he replaced everything needed and then he
decided to put in a console which came out of a 2010 F150. The exterior of this Bronco
is in amazing condition for it being made in 1994, there is no rust on it at all. The shell is
original as well and has not been painted. Ronnie cleaned the paint and the shell up with
good old fashioned elbow grease.
The interior pics
show a upgrade
for sure, Ronnie
completely redid
the interior himself
using gray interior
color, which adds
to the calming effect
for when you
climb up into it
only to be fooled
by this monster of
an suv when it is
started up! He did
keep the original
dashboard and all
of the dashboard
components along
with the steering
wheel.
He also installed
a center console
from a 2010 F150
and added fresh
carpeting.
The engine of this
1994 Bronco is a 5.8
ltr 351 Cleveland
Big block with a
4-speed automatic
transmission. The
engine can produce
about 220 HP with
275 lbs of torque.
Ronnie decided
he wanted to put
Hostile chrome
rims on his Bronco.
The rim size
is 20 x 12 and the
tires are 20 x 12 x
33. The original
height of the 1994
Bronco is 74.4
inches but Ronnie
added an additional
4 inches
in height with the
Pro Comp lift kit.
The wheelbase is
104.7 inches ,width
is 79.1 inches and
the weight is
approximately
3,800 lbs.
65 MUSTANG
Interview Doug Hauser
Car: 1965 Ford Mustang convertible
Model: Elizabeth Say
We decided to go back to the Crossroads of Kansas City. This photoshoot was shot at
several different places in the Crossroads. We started off at Lidia’s behind Union Station,
moved to the TWA building and then to the side of Town Topic hamburgers.
This beautiful classic 1965 Ford Mustang convertible is one of the most loved cars in
America! Doug Hauser is the present owner of this classic car, he is a classic car dealer
and is always looking for beauties like this. He came across this beautiful 1965 Ford Mustang
convertible at collector car auction. Doug feels that the early Mustangs especially
the convertibles are such attention getters. When Doug saw the finishes on this 1965
Ford Mustang he felt that they were in the right colors and that it would appeal to a wide
variety of people, young and old so that’s when he knew he wanted to add it to his inventory
“@KCClassicCars”. Doug has only done a few things to this classic because of
the pristine condition that it is in. He decided to put a low rocker panel Mustang graphic
on it to draw the attention to the lines of the car and bring out the white convertible top
even more. He has added chrome to the interior to give it a clean look and newer appearance,
he has also installed new brake lines and brakes. You can check out his inventory,
just visit his web page at www. Kcclassiccars.us or facebook- “@KC Classic
Cars”.
This classic 1965 Ford Mustang convertible has a 302 Windsor V-8 5.0 liter engine
with a Holley 4bbl carb and Edelbrock aluminum intake, Jet-Hot coated Hooker headers.
It has a B&M star shifter, 3-speed automatic transmission and a Ford 9inch rearend. The
front brakes have been up-dated to power disc with dual circuit master cylinders.
The production year specified as 1965 there were 65.633 convertibles w/bench seat
and 2,111 luxury models. The curb weight of the 1965 Mustang is about 3,093 lbs with
a wheel-base of 108 inches and length of 181.6 and width of 68.2 inches. This 1965 Ford
Mustang sounds like a muscle car and has the power to back it up, spinning the rear
wheels at will!
PEGGY SUE
Interview Jerry Polson
Car: 1923 Track T-bucket Roadster
Model: Megan Julian
Car name: “Peggy Sue”
This photoshoot was once again done in the West Bottoms of Kansas City. The first
spot of the shoot was under the 12th street bridge with the candelabras and then we
moved to the building fronts on that street. Also moved to W 8th street to take pics with
the train car located there.
Jerry Polson is the proud owner of this bad ass 1923 Track T-bucket Roadster. This
T-bucket Roadster was built in 2013. It has a custom frame and a fiberglass body and
hood, this ride is definitely one of a kind! Jerry has always had a love for building cars
and having a Hot Rod. He previously, in his younger years had built a 1932 Chevy 2-door
Sedan from top to bottom back in the late 50’s early 60’s, it ended up being his daily
driver. Then he ended up getting time during one summer and made a touring car out of
it, then he ended up selling it to a buddy of his. Ever since then he wanted to get himself
a T-bucket but as usual with what happens to most of us, life got in the way but it remained
on his bucket list! So for 50 years Jerry had been wanting one for himself. Jerry
started looking for a T-bucket about four or five years ago and he had came across this
exact one but he didn’t purchase it at that time. He kept looking for one and about a
year ago this one popped up on the market again, that’s when he decided to check it
out! The T-bucket was for sale out of a classic car place in Houston Texas. So Jerry contacted
them with interest in the car and bought it over the phone sight unseen. Jerry
had it shipped to him as soon as all the paperwork was complete. Jerry bought the T-
bucket in 2019. That same year in the fall Jerry took it to his first car show and on its first
road trip to Lee Summit, Mo. Jerry drives his T-bucket locally and doesn’t travel too far
of a distance, he focuses on local shows and cruises. I would not drive this hot rod too far
that’s for sure!
DEToNATOR
Interview: Doug Hauser
Car: 2010 Dodge Challenger R/T Classic
Models: Nia, Randa
The photographer, Elton of EPM Showcars Magazine had previously seen this spot in
the Crossroads of Kansas City and when we booked this specific car he knew this was
the spot for it!
This 2010 Dodge Challenger R/T Classic is one beautiful and bad ass car, it is definitely
an eye catcher! When Doug Hauser pulled up in this Challenger I thought he was
just playing with me because he knows the love I have for Mopar. When he told me he
added this to his collection of cars I was very surprised! Doug is a classic car dealer
and seeing most of his inventory this car had to be special to be added to his inventory.
Doug told me that when he saw this 2010 Dodge Challenger that it had really caught his
eye because of the tasteful changes that they had done to it. He normally doesn’t buy
the newer cars but this one was definitely an exception! When Doug was checking the
Challenger out, he was very impressed by the cleanliness of this 10 year old Mopar. It
only has a little over 36,000 miles on it, he could see the previous owner had taken very
good care of the car. You can check out Doug’s Classic inventory at Kcclassiccars.us or
on Facebook at “@KCClassicCars”.
This Dodge Challenger R/T Classic in the color of Detonator Yellow was only produced
in 2010 with only 586 made. They also produced 563 SRT-8 in that year with that color.
The Dodge Challenger R/T Classic came with a 5.7 liter V-8 engine that produces 372
HP and 401 lbs of torque and that is without the K&N air filter system that has been installed
with a cannon drop-in filter charger. The custom match paint of the installed
honeycomb upper, lower grill and the hood vents. Along with the paint matched wheel
spats, and headlight bezels. They also installed stainless steel cat-back exhaust. The
Dodge Challenger has a weight of 4,043 lbs and a length of 197.7 inches with a width of
75.7 inches. The wheelbase is 116 inches with 3.06 limited slip differential. Instead of the
Challenger R/T having the twin rally stripes on the front hood down onto the fenders,
they put the R/T classic style side stripes.
This Generation is the third generation of the Challenger. The third generation came
out in 2008 and is still being produced. Dodges first generation of the Challenger was
from 1970 to 1974 then the second generation was from 1978 to 1983.
ROCKET
Interview: Ronnie Ingrassia
Car: 2017 Corvette Grand Sport Z1/LT1
Models: Allie Montana,Adrienne Banda,Kyle
Janay
Car Name: “Rocket”
This photo shoot was done in the West Bottoms west side of downtown Kansas City.
The shoot was in more of an industrial part of the bottoms. The building we shot at had
multiple graffiti on all sides giving us different views for the shots.
Ronnie Ingrassia is the proud owner of this 2017 Corvette Grand Sport. He has always
had a love for Corvettes, ever since he can remember. He used to own a 2005
Corvette, it was blue and had gray interior with a manual transmission. He has always
thought of the specific way he would love to have his Corvette to be and this custom
Corvette Grand Sport was ordered how he always wanted it to be! Ronnie bought his
Corvette Grand Sport in the Kansas City area. He explained to me the difference between
a grand sport model and a Z06 model was the fender vent badges and the HP.
He also had a Z06 rear spoiler put on his Corvette Grand Sport and it is one without the
centerpiece. Ronnie has had this Corvette Grand Sport for three years and he has taken
very good care of it, making sure it stays very clean. He hasn’t taken it on any road trips
yet but might plan on it in the near future. There are only 3,000 miles on his car since he
bought it. This Corvette Grand Sport is his dream car and he is very proud of it and glad
he is able to share his love for it with other people. Ronnie shows the Corvette Grand
Sport locally but not as much as his other vehicle that he has. The first car show he took
his Corvette to was StreetCar Takeover in 2017! You can tell the passion that Ronnie has
for cars by the way they look. He has been in the automotive industry for over 27 years.
The new 2017 Corvette Grand Sport builds on a legacy established in 1963, when five
grand sport race cars were built under the direction of the Corvette’s first chief engineer,
Zora Arkus- Duntov. The Chevrolet Corvette has been manufactured and marketed by
Chevrolet across more than 60 years and eight design generations. From 1953 to 2019
the Corvette was a front-engined sports car and now 2020, it’s a mid-engined sports
car.
The Corvette is Chevrolet’s halo vehicle!
