Tourism Roadshow<br />
<strong>Royal</strong> <strong>Brunei</strong> <strong>Airlines</strong> launched a UK<br />
tourism campaign at Westfi eld, Shepherds<br />
Bush on 25 May, 2012. The three-day<br />
<strong>Brunei</strong> Tourism Road Show at Westfi eld<br />
(25-27 May) was offi cially opened by<br />
special guest Benedict Allen, TV presenter,<br />
explorer and author, and Deputy<br />
Chairman of <strong>Royal</strong> <strong>Brunei</strong> <strong>Airlines</strong>,<br />
Mr. Dermot Mannion.<br />
The opening ceremony took place at the<br />
<strong>Brunei</strong> stand in the North Atrium marking<br />
the launch of a wider campaign focus on<br />
<strong>Brunei</strong> and its unique eco-tourism in the<br />
run up to the launch of the airlines’ new<br />
Dreamliner in August 2013.<br />
Visitors experienced an impressive <strong>Brunei</strong>an<br />
rainforest theme at the stand as well as<br />
unique cultural dance performances thrice<br />
daily during the roadshow. Visitors also had<br />
the opportunity of winning tickets and a<br />
selection of other prizes along with exclusive<br />
travel discounts for trips to <strong>Brunei</strong>.<br />
Excapade Celebrates 10th<br />
Anniversary with RBA<br />
In May 2012, <strong>Royal</strong> Skies and Excapade<br />
held a prize presentation in conjunction<br />
with Excapade’s 10th Anniversary<br />
Celebrations held in Excapade, Regent<br />
Square branch in Kiulap.<br />
Patrons who spent more than B$20 at<br />
Excapade were entitled to a lucky draw and<br />
earned 10 <strong>Royal</strong> Skies miles for every dollar<br />
spent from 25 March until 25 April.<br />
Six prizes were given out in the lucky<br />
draw: A return reward ticket to<br />
Singapore, Bangkok and London courtesy<br />
of <strong>Royal</strong> Skies, and three vouchers to<br />
Excapade worth B$100 each.<br />

<strong>Royal</strong> Skies Celebrate<br />
New Partnership<br />
On 21 May 2012, <strong>Royal</strong> Skies –<br />
<strong>Royal</strong> <strong>Brunei</strong> <strong>Airlines</strong>’ Frequent Flyer<br />
Programme, and Fitness Zone held a<br />
signing ceremony which took place<br />
at one of the Fitness Zone’s branches.<br />
The agreement was signed<br />
by Maswadi Hj Mohsin, Chief<br />
Commercial & Planning Offi cer of<br />
<strong>Royal</strong> <strong>Brunei</strong> <strong>Airlines</strong> and Goh<br />
Kiat Chun (Wu Chun), Managing<br />
Director of Fitness Zone with Yasmin<br />
Abdullah Chin, Manager of Loyalty<br />
Marketing and Goh Kim Tian,<br />
Chairman of Fitness Zone as their<br />
witnesses respectively.<br />
The event was attended by Guest<br />
of Honour, Ahmad Jefri Abd<br />
Rahman, a member of <strong>Royal</strong> <strong>Brunei</strong><br />
<strong>Airlines</strong> Board of Directors. The<br />
signing ceremony concluded with<br />
a group fi tness session with <strong>Royal</strong><br />
<strong>Brunei</strong> <strong>Airlines</strong> staff and <strong>Royal</strong> Skies<br />
members conducted by Fitness<br />
Zone instructors.<br />
Agents Reception at<br />
London Roadshow<br />
On 24 May 2012, <strong>Royal</strong> <strong>Brunei</strong> <strong>Airlines</strong><br />
held an Agents Reception at The<br />
Dorchester Hotel in conjunction with the<br />
<strong>Royal</strong> <strong>Brunei</strong> <strong>Airlines</strong> London Roadshow<br />
which was held on 25-27 May, 2012 at<br />
North Atrium, Westfi eld Shopping Centre.<br />
The Agents Reception, held in The<br />
Dorchester’s Park Suite, was attended by<br />
over 50 travel agents operating in the<br />
United Kingdom, as well as <strong>Brunei</strong> travel<br />
agents from Sunshine Borneo Tours,<br />
Freme Travel, and Poni Divers.<br />
During the event, there were<br />
presentations on the airline and <strong>Brunei</strong><br />
Darussalam as an exotic holiday<br />
destination for rainforest and eco-tourism<br />
by Dermot Mannion, Deputy Chairman of<br />
<strong>Royal</strong> <strong>Brunei</strong> <strong>Airlines</strong>, Sheikh Jamaluddin<br />
Sheikh Mohamed, Chief Executive Offi cer<br />
of <strong>Brunei</strong> Tourism, and representatives<br />
from Ulu-Ulu Resort and Poni Divers.<br />
Benedict Allen, one of Britain’s most<br />
prominent explorers, also attended the<br />
event and shared his experience on one<br />
of his very fi rst jungle expeditions to<br />
<strong>Brunei</strong> in 1980 where he discovered the<br />
country’s amazing biodiversity.<br />

RBA recently hosted Mr. Alexander Shambly,<br />
executive producer and creator of leading lifestyle<br />
