You could then continue for a stroll at the
pedestrian friendly Rue Montorgueil at Les Halles.
Once famous for its Les Halles covered market, the
area has recently been revitalised and turned into
a street fi lled with the best bakeries, chocolate
shops, and kitchenware stores. Alternatively, visit
the Abbesses neighbourhood near Montmartre
by taking the metro.to Metropolitan. Here you
can fi nd Le mur des je t’aime (I love you wall)
located just behind the metro entrance where
love messages are written in all languages! Walk
along the many cobblestone streets and admire
the street artists as you take in the sight of
Montmartre and the two remaining windmills,
remnants of the area’s long-gone wheat fi elds.
By now, you’d probably want to have tea
somewhere and there is no better place than tea
time offered at Angelina, a chocolate salon located
just next door to Le Meurice. The only thing to
divulge here is Angelina’s ridiculously thick and
insanely delicious le Chocolat Africain. Pair this
with their legendary Mont Blanc, a meringue piled
high with delicate strings of chestnut puree, and
you’ve essentially tasted Paris in one sitting.
