Voluntary Withdrawal

In the 2016 season the Club decided that continuing with

their presence in the Northern league 2nd Division, without a coach

available for 2017, could be a disaster and, although finishing fifth in

the 2016 League, decided to voluntarily withdraw into the Waikato A

Grade competition.

This was the reason for the transfer out of a number of

players during the off-season who wished to continue their football

at the highest possible level for them, and their movement to other

clubs was supported and encouraged by Ngaruawahia United.

By finishing second the club will be represented in the

Federation League in 2018.
