Waikato A Division - Reserves 2006

2006

JESSE GRAY-MORGAN (Jess)

Dropping down from the dizzying

heights of Sunday League football, Jesse

thought he would keep the Reserve

company during training nights. This he

did exceptionally well which, in due

course earned him a place in the

starting line-up three months down the

track. He began to show his true colours

as a striker, which put him in contention

for the top goal-scorer’s role.

TROY LOCHEAD (Kramer)

Can fit in anywhere when not playing

for the first team and carried his badge

of honour when battling it out with the

Ressies. Always one to give 100% (or a

penalty or two) Troy brought

commitment on and off the pitch,

showing himself to be a good Club man.

HAYDEN JOHNS (Haydz)

This versatile striker/midfielder joined

the reserves with his head held high

after a solid year of first team

appearances. He did the Reserves

proud, never moaning or griping about

not being in the #1 squad. He has

played some of his best football this

season, and impressed the squad with

his positive attitude.

RORY KERR-BELL (Hori, Norris)

Like his brother Ryan, Rory has not had

the best of seasons as a striker. A back

injury has plagued him for most of the

year, severely cramping his mobility and

speed. Rory has the self-appointed gift

of arguing with his uncles/brother

whether on the field or off it.

RODDI ROJAS (Ruddi)

Revived an old career with Claudelands

Rovers.

TIM KAUTAI (Timmy)

A striker who was chased by the local

hoods.

DAVID LISIGNOLI (Ziggy)

With wheels to burn Ziggy is the

quickest and most direct striker in the

Club. Unfortunately he has acquired a

few injuries this season, limiting his

game time. He could be pushing for a

first team spot next season if he was

100%.

MICHAEL VAN HOUTTE

(Little Hoota, Mikey)

Could be the next big thing in the Club.

With great composure and good ball

control Mike carries on where his Dad

left off in midfield. He just needs to pick

his lip off the ground now and again and

acquire some of his old man’s grit. He

kept a cool head to score the winner

against Huntly.

JOE BUIST (Dog Roll, Joey)

A central defender who started a new

career with Claudelands Rovers.

KEEGAN STEWART (Keegs)

This midfielder is gone in 60 seconds.

This season a couple of trainings and a

couple of games.
