Club Awards

The Annual Dinner was held at Ngaruawahia’s

Victorian 1870 Restaurant on Saturday 29th January (1971) and

was attended by 35 people. Invited guests for the evening were

Mr & Mrs C. Bell and Mr & Mrs S. Baranyai.

Joe Templeton presented the Most Improved Shield

to goalkeeper Rex Nightingale. Mr Cliff Bell presented the

Robin Bell Memorial Trophy for Player of the Year to George

Sunnex.

1970 was the year that AFFCo Rangers was founded.

The club was based at Horotiu and used the field alongside State Highway 1.
