PHILLIP GIBBS

Completed his first full season at soccer since joining us in mid-1982. Tall,

powerful player who excells in the air, and loves to run onto a shot.

KEN HOUSTON

Terrier of the team. Has an astonishingly high work rate and a good long

shot at goal. Tireless.

GRANT CARLSON

An opportunist in front of goal, and was unlucky not to get more goals.

Good skills and wonderful potential for the future.

CHRIS SPRAY

Top goalscorer and great team-man. Uses his skills to set up other team

members as well as creating goals himself.

MARTIN BELL

Dedicated and intense on the field. A perfectionist who is not satisfied

with anything less than his best efforts. Netted four good ones this

season.

RAY HAVELL

Mainly sat on the bench this season but his one full game was a boomer,

gaining him Player of the Day. Solid player - dependable.

BRUCE McINTOSH

A seasoned player who is going from strength to strength in skills and

ability. A powerful, fast winger.

PETER MAGEE

Watch this young lad! Didn't play many games but always impresses and

is definitely Northern League potential. Continually improves.

BILL McCAIG

The tall one. Runs strongly with the ball and can strike it sweetly when

developing attacks.

RICKY DUFFULL

A golf lover with football as a second string to his bow. Casual player who

gives the impression that there is an untapped reservoir of talent

simmering beneath the outward calm.

STEVE RANDALL

Had three solid games with the team, showing tons of ability before

having to give the game away through other commitments.

GARRON SMITH

A developing ability that didn't get a chance to show itself very often.

Good team supporter.

PHILLIP BULLIVANT

A young player who has been around a long time. Very fit. Played well in

the second half of the season. Goal-hungry.

DEREK DAVIES

Found travelling from Mount Maunganui quite a commitment but is a

dependable player. Good skills.

MALCOLM BURT

Another old head on youngish shoulders! Spent a bit of time benchwarming,

but got involved from that situation too.

CHRIS BARAKAT

Gave his old injuries a testing time in the last three games of the season.

Began to show his old flair again.

STEVE WILLIAMS

Played in the final game v Tokoroa. Steve loves to play an attacking role.

IAN PRETSWELL

Acted as substitute in the last match to keep the bench balanced with

Bullivant on the other end!

MIKE LIDDLE

His two games left their mark as he stretched and excercised his old war

wounds - coming right?

STEVE GRAHAM

His short stay with us was appreciated.

MIKE HEAPPEY

Contributed to our 3-2 win over Hamilton with solid defense.
