Ngaruawahia High School, the base for the first two years of the Club - 1969 & 1970.

This was the layout of Ngaruawahia High School in the early years

of football in the town, Note that football field dominate the

recreation area with the rugby field allocated the Patterson Park

(upper right). The club played the 1969 and 1970 seasons at the

High School, with the changing facilities being the physed rooms in

the small L-shaped block.

The club gradually moved across the Centennial Park during the

1970-1971 seasons, although several games were still scheduled

here at the school when Centennial Park was unavailable while it

was being converted from a cricket ground with the removal of the

very thick two-layered concrete wicket.
