Welcome to our Nation’s Capital to celebrate spring.

Your departure has been timed for the average mean

blossom dates for the over 3,000 Yoshino Cherry Trees

that bloom along the Tidal Basin. This morning visit

the U. S. Capitol Visitor Center where you’ll see a film

on the historical significance of our capital followed

by a guided tour. (Photo ID is required.) Also, tour

the beautiful Library of Congress with more than 650

miles of bookshelves and 138 million books. While on

Capitol Hill there’s a photo stop at the Supreme Court

Building.

This afternoon visit the Smithsonian museum of your

choice on the National Mall: National Museum of

American History, National Air and Space Museum,

National Gallery of Art, and many more.

DAY 3•WHITE HOUSE VISITOR CENTER/

POTOMAC RIVER LUNCH CRUISE/MUSEUM

Start your day at the White House Visitor’s Center

where you will see over 90 artifacts from the White

House collection along with a documentary film,

“White House: Reflections from Within." Enjoy a

relaxing cruise with lunch on the Potomac River for a

different view of our nation’s capital. This afternoon

spend time at the Museum of the Bible. This amazing

state-of-the-art museum tells the compelling history of

the Bible. Take a stroll along the Tidal Basin to view

the beautiful Japanese cherry trees (exact cherry

blossom blooming is subject to nature and cannot be

guaranteed). See the Jefferson, Martin Luther King, Jr.,

and FDR Memorials on your walk. After dinner depart

for an Illuminated Monument tour where you’ll see our

nation’s memorials beautifully lit up at night to include

the United States Air Force Memorial overlooking the

Pentagon.

DAY 4•ARLINGTON NATIONAL CEMETERY,

VIETNAM, LINCOLN, KOREAN MEMORIALS/MT.

VERNON/OLD TOWN ALEXANDRIA (B, D)

This morning visit Arlington National Cemetery to

include the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Changing

of the Guard (subject to conditions), John F. Kennedy

Eternal Flame, the Space Shuttle Challenger Memorial,

and more. This afternoon visit Mount Vernon, George

Washington’s estate. The new Ford Orientation Center

and Museum offers visitors a chance to experience

Washington’s life through movies and exhibits. Stroll

of the Potomac River from the mansion’s piazza. Take
