One summer day, a girl drowns in the swimming pool of her
house. Cleo, with only twelve years old, will face the loss of
her sister in a world without adults and followed by her three
cousins. Along with them, she will immerse herself in the
feminine world of childhood: the fear of never having kissed,
the fear of being alone forever, fear of menstruation "that is
like babies that cannot come to the world and die"; a body
that no longer belongs to the same person that inhabits it,
the irreversible change of maturity.
