An Giang province is located in the upper stream of Cuu Long River with an area of 3,537 km , in the East
by Dong Thap province, in the South East by Can Tho province, in the South West by Kien Giang and in North
West by Cambodia. An Giang is one of four provinces in the key economic region of the Mekong Delta.
Agriculture, sheries, vegetables; Trade, service and tourism are identied as the three key strengths of the
province.
The population of An Giang in 2019 is over 2.4 million laborers; in which over 1.23 million people in
working age, every year the province has created jobs for 30,000 laborers, of which 56.6% of them are trained.
The economic structure of An Giang province continues to shift positively; strengths in trade - services
and tourism are maximized; The agricultural sector is being restructured towards improving quality, value and
competition, attracting more and more enterprises to invest. Specically, the agriculture, forestry and shery
sector accounted for 34.04% (mainly rice and shery products), industry - construction sector accounted for
12.10%, service sector accounted for 53,86%.
