Moisture Barriers<br />
A moisture barrier prevents moisture from passing via capillary transport processes into the floor construction or living<br />
space and causing detrimental effects as a result. It protects us from any damage to health that could be caused,<br />
for example, from mould formation.<br />

Description<br />
The Gefitas®PE moisture barriers have been developed<br />
by specialists and prove their established status every<br />
year with a laid surface area of more than 3 million<br />
square metres. There are no limitations to the choice of<br />
floor covering consumers wish to make. The membrane<br />
sheets consist of a PE film and a closed-cell polyethylene<br />
foam, which protects the waterproofing membrane from<br />
damage and levels out any unevenness of the floor at<br />
the same time.<br />
Some of the noteworthy features of the Gefitas®PE<br />
moisture barriers include their enormous robustness,<br />
high ductility, extreme temperature flexibility, very<br />
good vapour denseness and their exceptional<br />
chemical resistance. Gefitas®PE moisture barriers<br />
do not contain any softening agents or other additives,<br />
they are bitumen-resistant and are absolutely safe to use<br />
in living spaces and public buildings such as<br />
kindergardens, schools, hospitals, etc.<br />
All Gefitas®system components are coordinated with<br />
one another in such a way that instalment is always<br />
safe and simple. The joint strip R300, the fixing tape,<br />
sealant, adhesive, and sealing tape all have a<br />
supportive role to play in ensuring that the laying<br />
process is executed correctly. Our laying<br />
recommendation provides precise details of how<br />
the Gefitas®waterproofing system can be applied<br />
and processed in the best possible way for any<br />
situation.<br />
