Compression techniqueCompression technique comprises downward-perpendicular pressure, orapproximation of two structures in the form of squeezing, grasping to increasepressure. Intended outcomes include influencing fluid movement and endorphinrelease, as shown in Figure 9.8.
BendingBending technique combines compression and tension loading – one side of thetissue is compressed as the other side is elongated, often performed cross-fiber.
