St Andrews Christian College is an outstanding co-educational Prep
to Year 12 Christian School.
The College mission is to educate our students to be well skilled,
understand life on the basis of biblical truth, and be motivated to walk
with God and serve Him in their lives. It is our desire that our students
will be great citizens who will bring a powerful, positive Christian
influence to their community. We seek to be Christ-centred in all that
we do and pursue academic excellence on the basis of biblical truth,
relationship with God, and Christian values.
Our vision is for students to be courageous, creative, resilient and
confident, and to discover their capabilities, talents, and unique Godgiven
potential.
Our community of caring teachers and parents work together, united
through shared values and goals, nurturing each student’s potential
and a love of learning. Our staff believe they are called by God to
their roles as educators. They seek to impart knowledge and inspire
a love for God, and use ‘best-practice’ educational methods to deliver
a rigorous academic program. We seek to give our students a strong
foundation for life-long learning and an opportunity to excel in a safe,
disciplined and trusting environment.
The College’s educational programs are highly recognised and proven
to give students a successful whole-rounded education.
Our core academic programs are supported by a primary school
accelerated reading program and a lower primary specialised phonics
program (LEM), EAL support, integration assistance for students

with learning difficulties and a Gifted and Talented Program. A wide
range of co-curricular activities including various sports, drama, choir,
craft, chess, and musical opportunities complements the College’s
academic program. The College community house system provides
opportunity for student leadership development and student
participation in a stimulating range of sporting, academic, service, and
cultural activities.
The Christian focus of the College provides an emphasis on practical
faith, Christian instruction and values, pastoral care, and service
opportunities. Our Global Horizons Program is a Service Learning
Program that incorporates ‘Head-Hand-Heart’ learning. It helps
students develop their gifts and talents in both local and international
contexts.
The College facilities include an outstanding Learning and Innovation
Centre, Performing Arts Building, an indoor sports stadium/
multi-purpose hall, new facilities and classrooms for secondary and
specialist science rooms.
The College is governed by a company directed by a Board consisting
of parents and others chosen for their Christian maturity and expertise,
and ratified by the Presbyterian Church of Victoria. The College
has an active Parents and Friends Association that coordinates and
encourages parent involvement and fund-raising within the College
community.
