RESEARCH and STUDY
Research Assistance
Librarians provide expert assistance to help find specific
information, navigate and search databases, evaluate
and cite sources, conduct library instruction classes and
locate books and journal articles. LibGuides on the
website assist searching for the best information
resources.
Library Catalog and Databases
The online catalog lists items available in the Hazy Library
and the Yavapai Library Network, including over 1 million
records and 250,000 e-books.
will help
find full-text articles and reports, e-books, streaming
videos, and more, in 100 online specialized databases of
scholarly information.
Study Areas
The Hazy Library offers collaboration, group and silent
study rooms and quiet zones. Four collaboration rooms
are equipped with multimedia presentation equipment
and laptop connectivity. Reserve a study room on the
library webpage.
Borrowing/Loan Periods
All ERAU students, faculty and staff, and Yavapai County
residents may borrow items using an Eagle Card or a
Yavapai Library Network card. Use of either card
confirms agreement to comply with the policies of the
participating network libraries. Books and DVDs may be
checked out for 21 days. Materials may be renewed 3
times unless another borrower has placed a hold on
them.
Course Reserves
Course Reserves are designed for faculty to provide
assigned readings for classes. Reserve materials may be
checked out for 2 hours at a time and used in the library
only.
Interlibrary Loan
Books, articles and visual resources not available at the
ERAU Hazy Library or the Yavapai Library Network can be
obtained from other libraries. The service is available free
to ERAU students, faculty, and staff. Submit the online
form on the library website.
TECHNOLOGY
Computers, Scanners, and Printers
Computers are located throughout the first floor, in room
123, and on the second floor in the Computer Commons.
They provide access to the internet, MS Office, MatLab,
Maple, CATIA, and others. The Testing Center/Open
Computer Lab is located on the second floor. Five
scanners, laser printers, and a plotter are available.

Laptops/iPads Checkout
Laptops and iPads are available for in-house checkout.
All technology can be checked out only by valid Eagle
Card holders.
The Hazy Library offers many areas for student collaboration
EXTRAS
Kalusa Miniature Aircraft Collection
John Kalusa’s collection of 5,829 hand-carved balsawood model aircraft
is on display in the library. The collection is listed in the Guinness Book of
World Records.
Scholars’ Café
Starbucks beverages and snacks are available for
purchase in the lobby.
Visitors
Visitors will be expected to comply with and abide by
University and Library policies. As a private institution of
higher education, current ERAU students, faculty, and
staff are considered our primary clientele.
