Since we’re baking, we may as well make something yummy for the dogs, too. Peanut butter biscuits You’ll need: 1 cup cooked pumpkin puree; 1/4 cup peanut butter (choose one with no added sugar or salt); 2 eggs; 3 cups whole wheat flour. Method: Preheat oven to 180°C. Beat the pumpkin puree, peanut butter and eggs well until mixed – around 2 minutes. Slowly add in the flour, a little at a time, mixing gently until just combined. Knead the dough a little, then roll out to about 2cm thick. Cut into squares (or shapes, if you prefer) and put onto a tray lined with baking paper. Bake for around 20 to 25 minutes, or until cooked and the edges are golden. Cool before storing in an airtight container. Kid’s toys all over the house are bad enough.
