ONE MORE COVID-19 POSITIVE CASE IN SVG, ONE MORE

RECOVERED

St. Vincent and the Grenadines has recorded its seventeenth (17) positive COVID-

19 case according to reports received from the Caribbean Public Health Agency

CARPHA. This case is part of the cluster whose first case was reported on April 21,

2020, and was identified as part of an aggressive contact tracing and testing

campaign.

On Thursday April 30, results received medically cleared another person as having

recovered from COVID-19. This means that there are now nine (9) recovered

persons and eight (8) active cases of COVID-19 in St. Vincent and the Grenadines

The Health Services Subcommittee of the National Emergency Committee is

reminding the public about the importance of maintaining the highly effective public

health measures currently in place which include hand hygiene, cough etiquette,

physical distancing of at least 3-6 feet in public spaces along with the smart use of

masks. These measures must be maintained to continue to contain and slow the

spread of COVID-19 in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Let us continue to share the responsibility of learning to live well in a world with

COVID-19.
