Representing Hall 8 definitely has its good

and bad times. Bad times come in the form

of a shortage of players, but the good times

outweigh them all.

Coming to Hall 8 has allowed me to try so

many new sports like Volleyball and Squash

as well as work on old ones like Basketball

and Soccer. The players who represent

Hall 8 are all that make the experience

a great one. Our favourite thing to do in

every single match is to lose like winners.

We play our hearts out and cheer till we're

happy. "One Team, One Dream. 一 个 团 队 ,

一 个 梦 想 " is honestly my favourite cheer

of the year. Shouting it at every inning for

our Softball matches and screaming as if we

won finals when we get an out. Our team

spirit never fades even when we are down,

and we fight hard for every match, even if

the odds were stacked against us.

Being a Team Mag has been really fulfilling

too, getting to teach so many new players

how to play Softball has been really fun and

enjoyable! I felt accomplished coaching an

entire team of girls who had close to no

experience in Softball, play against a sports

Hall and putting up a good fight. Although

at times they make you want to pull your

hair (aka QiaoYi when she ran a flyball,

okay kidding), but seeing them so earnestly

learning and working so hard to try and

master the sport has made me feel all sorts

of pride for the team. Glad to say I even got

to give some Year 4s and Year 2s their IHG

debut in Softball.

All in all, the sporting experience in

Hall 8 is really the most accepting and

accomodating you can find, so freshies,

even if you're scared and think you ain't

good enough, don't worry, just come!!

Everyones gotta start somewhere, and

this could be it for you!
