The new detachable 6-seater chairlift on South Tyrol’s
Seiser Alm goes under the name of Bamby and ensures
top comfort with cutting-edge technology. The slow speed
of the chairs as they transit the station makes loading and
unloading stress-free for passengers. While the seat heating
and bubbles provide top ride comfort in all weathers,
the low-noise and very efficient Doppelmayr Direct Drive
is key to reliable operations. The operating company
Rabanser Seilbahnen has always attached particular importance
to child safety and their new D-Line chairlift certainly
fits the bill in that respect. With the auto-lock system
used on the Bamby, up to five children can be carried on
each chair accompanied by just one adult. The restraining
bar on the D-Line chair is automatically closed and locked
in the bottom station. The status of this system is checked
again by sensors as the chair leaves the station. The bar
remains closed during the trip and is then automatically
opened again on entry into the top station.
