Das „Paneuropäische Picknick“ ist eine interdisziplinäre
Veranstaltungsreihe von goEast, welche die enge
Verbundenheit und die vielfältigen Verflechtungen Mittelund
Osteuropas mit dem Rhein-Main-Gebiet bewusst
machen möchte. Im Fokus steht: Kulturelle Teilhabe
zu schaffen und Brücken zu bauen zwischen dem gut
etablierten Filmfestival, kleine(re)n Kulturvereinen und
anderen Orten, an denen sich Menschen mit mittel- und
osteuropäischen Wurzeln aus dem gesamten Rhein-Main-
Gebiet treffen.
Mit Unterstützung des Kulturfonds Frankfurt RheinMain
präsentiert goEast ein überaus facettenreiches
Programm, das von Filmvorführungen, Lesungen und
Masterclasses bis zu Sprachkursen im osteuropäischen
Supermarkt, Ausstellungen und weiteren Veranstaltungen
reicht. Überall werden mittel- und osteuropäische
Aspekte der hiesigen Kultur direkt und indirekt vermittelt
und unser „deutsches“ Verhältnis zu Osteuropa sowie
dem postsowjetischen Raum thematisiert. Auch der 2019
ins Leben gerufene RheinMain Kurzfilmpreis wird erneut
vergeben.
Die Ausstellungen des Paneuropäischen Picknicks
werden online stattfinden, die Publikumsveranstaltungen
sind Covid-19-bedingt auf den späten Sommer verlegt
worden.
The “Pan-European Picnic” is an interdisciplinary
event series presented by goEast that aims to increase
awareness for the close connection and diverse
interrelations between Central and Eastern Europe and
the Rhine-Main region. The focus here is on promoting
cultural participation and building bridges between
the well-established film festival, small(er) cultural
associations and other locations where individuals with
Central or Eastern European roots from the entire Rhine-
Main region meet.
With the generous support of Kulturfonds Frankfurt
RheinMain, goEast has created a thoroughly multifaceted
programme that encompasses film screenings,
readings and master classes as well as language courses
in an Eastern European supermarket, exhibitions and
other events. All across the city, this initiative presents
Central and Eastern European aspects of the local
culture both directly and indirectly, while examining our
“German” relationship to Eastern Europe and the post-
Soviet space. The RheinMain Short Film Award, initiated
in 2019, will also once again be presented in the scope
of the Pan-European Picnic.
The Pan-European Picnic exhibitions will take place
online, while the audience events have been postponed
until late summer due to the situation surrounding
Covid-19.
