Geboren 1964 in Baranovichi, wuchs er in<br />
Kiew auf. 1987 erlangte er einen Abschluss in<br />
Angewandter Mathematik. Bis 1991 arbeitete<br />
der international gefeierte Dokumentar- und<br />
Spielfilmregisseur als Wissenschaftler am<br />
renommierten Institut für Kybernetik Kiew<br />
[IKK] im Bereich der künstlichen Intelligenz.<br />
1997 studierte er an dem Moskauer Institut<br />
für Kinematographie – VGIK und gründete<br />
2013 die Filmproduktions- und Vertriebsfirma<br />
ATOMS & VOID. 2012 war ihm bereits die<br />
Porträtsektion von <strong>goEast</strong> gewidmet, 2019<br />
war er zudem mit seinem Film DER PROZESS<br />
zu Gast.<br />
Born in Baranovichi, USSR, in 1964, Loznitsa<br />
grew up in Kiev. In 1987, he received a<br />
degree in applied mathematics. Until 1991,<br />
the internationally renowned director of<br />
documentaries and fiction features worked as<br />
a scientist at the Kiev Institute of Cybernetics<br />
[IKK], specializing in artificial intelligence<br />
research. In 1997, he graduated from VGIK<br />
Film Academy Moscow and launched his film<br />
production and distribution company ATOMS<br />
& VOID in 2013. In 2012 the <strong>goEast</strong> Portrait<br />
was dedicated to him and, in 2019, he took<br />
part at <strong>goEast</strong> with his archive documentary<br />
THE TRIAL.<br />
