ILYA POVOLOTSKY
Geboren 1987. Er beendete 2009 ein Studium
an der Finanzuniversität der Regierung der
Russischen Föderation und gründete die
Produktionsfirma Black Chamber. Er begann
als Regisseur für Werbefilme und spezialisierte
sich auf experimentelle und künstlerische
Projekte. So wurde sein Werbefilm PUSH
THE LIMIT (2016) für Toyota Russland bei
dem 27. Internationalen Festival für Werbung
und Marketing "Red Apple" in Moskau
ausgezeichnet. Für seinen letzten Film FROTH
erhielt er 2019 eine Lobende Erwähnung
auf dem Dokumentarfilmfestival IDFA in
Amsterdam.
Born in 1987, Povolotsky graduated from the
law department of the Financial University
under the Government of the Russian
Federation in 2009, and founded the Black
Chamber production company. He started out
as a director of advertisements specializing
in experimental and artistic projects. The
commercial project PUSH THE LIMIT (2016)
for Toyota Russia was honoured with an
award at the 27th "Red Apple" International
Advertising Festival in Moscow. With his
most recent film FROTH he earned a Special
Mention at the International Documentary Film
Festival Amsterdam in 2019.
