Charakteren geht es trotzdem
gut: Sie reden, tanzen, laufen
umher – und scheren sich nicht
um den ständigen Wind, der
ihnen die Haare durchwuschelt
und gelegentlich die Kleidung
vom Leib zieht.
Protocorba is a world full of
animation errors. Still, the
characters are doing alright:
they talk, dance, walk around –
and don’t seem to care about the
constant wind that messes up
their hair and occasionally pulls
the clothes off their bodies.

hinten erschrickt. Sein Glück:
Im Großraumbüro sitzt ein
Superheld. Dessen Pech: Denn
für ihn endet die Sache eher
unglücklich. Helden haben halt
auch irgendwann die Schnauze
voll.
A man stands atop a skyscraper,
smoking, before falling off when
a colleague frightens him from
behind. The good luck: there’s
a superhero sitting in the openplan
office. The bad luck: the
story ends rather unfortunately
for him. Sometimes heroes just
get fed up too.

aesthetic of this experimental
short documentary film and the
playful treatment of stereotypes
make the director’s proximity to
the world of fashion palpable.

When the party is droning on
next door, it becomes hard to
ignore your own loneliness:
especially when you’re the only
guy with a horse head. But then
a ravishingly beautiful unicorn
lady shows up at the party. A
